40 Commander Windows and Door Sill Plates

Has ANYONE replaced glass in a 40? What did you use for rubber? What did you do for the center bar? Front AND rear glass is a problem with rubber parts.. Or I am not contacting the right guys???

I have spoken to plenty of Studebaker parts guys, just may not have found THE guy I need???

I made the ivory colored plastic inserts for the inside window garnish moldings.. The "wings" look great.

Where can I get a nice set of door sill plates? Something other than 40 Commander four door work????

Wel since I first posted this I have made the ivory inserts myself and came up wit a fabricated sill plate also... BUT still no vent window rubber. That is the only thing left to do.

What did you use for sill plate material? I've replaced the sills on my '40 Champion with 18 ga crs but would like to cover this with an aluminum step plate like the originals. I've not been able to find replacements so I'll probably have to fab up something. Sorry but I can't help you on the rubber bits.
