Scott S
I am getting a slow fuel leak from the carburetor even after shutting off the fuel. The drip pan under carb makes me think that some type of leak may be expected, but I can't figure out what is causing it. Any suggestions before I pull off the carb? Scott S
Any advice on rebuild kits if I need to do a rebuild?
Leif Holmberg
Sorry Skott S.Can`t giv you any advise about that. But I don`think you need to do anything els than clean the carb. Leif.
Mark Shaw
I agree with Lief. Use Carb cleaner and check all the gaskets and seals. You may just be leaking from the banjo fitting (where the fuel line connects to the carb.). You should also clean the float needle and seat. Check the gasket that seals the main jet too.Does it take awhile to get enough fuel to start?
Leif Holmberg
Skott S.If you don`t want to remove all parts that belongs to the carb.you can remove these parts as showed on the pickture. In that case you only need 2 paper gaskets. If you remove the heating house you maybe need to change all the asbest-coppar gaskets, and they can bee hard to find, even if it`s not impossible. Scott S
Thanks for all the tips. Regarding Mark's post- yes it does take a long time to get enough fuel to start. When it did start the leak stopped, but it is struggling to get fuel.
