I've been told that five were built, and that nine exist today--four originals and five replicas.

I know the Hussey and Nethercutt cars are originals. Whatever became of the other two?

Bob Bahre up in Maine who has a lovely collection of 33/34 Dietrichs and LeBarons has an original 34 LeBaron phaeton, black paint with the very unusual rear view mirrors mounted off the the headlight brackets and sweeping up over the front fenders. The car was at the Greenwich Concours a few years back. I also believe there are more than 4 replicas, more like 9 or 10.

Thanks!

That was something about 30% of the original cost of the car, A.J.--never thought a Packard would hold its value WORSE than my 2003 Mitsubishi!

I just went and looked at the invoice again. They actually gave him 4,000 towards the 9,800 purchase price of the Mercedes. Also, the Packard is listed as a 1935 Packard V12 LeBaron Speedster - although we know they were only made in 34.
