  1. What year and make this touring car is , model too if you’re really good? the photo is from the historical society and the car is headed up the highest coastal point from Maine to Florida !
  2. Thank you .. commonly what type of car would this be on .. ? one guy told me it was like one on his 34 Cadillac ..
  3. Came across this old spotlight and thought it might be something a collector wanted. Do I bought it ..I’m not sure the age but has a toggle flick switch on the end.
  4. After ‘37 I’m not too into the shape of anything from the 40’s, But maybe Continental,Town n Country,or Darrins.. I like mostly 30-37 especially 34-37 in Cads ..like Town Cars for their formal uniqueness. the ‘40 Cad is heavy looking but of course beautifully finished ..I don’t need or want perfect ..they damage with use and then you’re angry that you used them .
  5. I know what they want . I know the 41 Cad coupe is a nicer automobile but I have no feeling for it . I’ve owned division window cars before . Yes, not comfy but very handsome and formal vehicles, which I like very much ..
  6. I know what they want . I know the 41 Cad coupe is a nicer automobile but I have no feeling for it .
  7. So the question becomes it’s running and you see the top etc in this shape what the right dollar on it?? Or is it one to discard ? I love the style almost bought the 36 in Ct. I’ve had formal sedans. I know the seat issue . The question is what it’s worth as she sits ?
  8. Yes n I’m unpleasantly surprised by the alternator and the messy engine compartment work .. Can of worms??
  9. Thanks guys .Mike...Which car is pictured ? And where do you find what cars are actually worth today? .. these cars don’t show up often to get a handle on the value ..
  10. Not sure if this is the right place but thought I’d ask you guys with knowledge on this era of car. The car is running and she stops it’s a 3 owner rare body style car. I have no talents to fix anything , I do have talents with the look of a car with my design background. I can’t even drive a shift, but I’m a preserver of history ! It needs top replaced which is leather padded and paint/chrome which is just okay now, the front seat looks vinyl of course needs to be leather , rear seat etc is good original. The bottom of drivers door the wood is separated.. But once these issues are fixed, aren’t most old cars reliable for the occasional drive? There’s no power anything or intricate systems ,so doesn’t that help it from needing lots of service? My other choice was an SC111 which I’ve owned a few of and know them pretty well.. n how expensive they are to fix, but they have air power windows and are more usable in daily use ..Torn between saving a rare car and doing the RR thing..So looking for advice..Never owning or driving a car from the 30’s, I wanted to know the reality of actually owning one.. ??
  11. Nearby it’s not mine, but love to identify what it was ! If anyone needs the parts write the seller on marketplace..
  12. Any front views? Thanks yes the barn needs to be cleaned out to see anything !
  13. Well thanks for the interest it’s not for sale at the moment. But I would like what I asked for ..to see the whole car since we can’t with things all over n around it ..
  14. My friend found it in a barn upstate and couldn’t see the rest of it ..Yes it just seems to be a stoplight looks like Moretti And four screw holes that look like license plate mount beneath it .. I’ve checked lots of Fiat Moretti pics can’t find it though.. I told her you guys are good at this so I’ve tried no luck yet but .. See what you can find!
  15. As a car guy details and specs help me get a fuller picture of the car
  16. Yes but it must be written somewhere that’s all I find too.
  17. been trying to find them but I’ve only found by series Like total Cad series 75 not by each body style of 75 series.. ! Where else should I look?
  18. Forgive me if my question seems a bit dumb.. while I’ve owned may cars I’ve never owned one before 1949. I understand older cars were metal over wood frames, if I have it correctly.. I’m looking at maybe buying a car from this era. What do I look for to tell me if the body needs lots of expensive work prior to making any offer? My guess would be how snug the doors are, and if the panels line up right ..any more information would be appreciated.. The second part to this question is how reliable are they (v8)?? So are parts to keep them running difficult to locate? Are are they fairly bullet proof? She’s running right now.
  19. Love to see rear compartment accessories like speaking tubes, etc and exterior options too .. I’m trying to learn what’s authentic and correct for this car .. thanks..
  20. Question do you know where I might see original options in drawings or photos .. and the set up for speaking tubes in front and back ?
