  1. Trying to find two trunk/rumble latches. This 34 Lasalle came with boxes of parts. One latch is missing. I have one mounted on the rumble lid. The trunk is supposed to have two latches. I have one with a broken spring for the trunk and the other for the trunk is missing. Probably other GM's of this era had the same latch. If anyone has one or two of these latches for sale, please let me know. Thank you, Dave

  2. This may seem dumb for those of who have done this before, but I can't figure out how the column drop attaches to the dash bracket. On other cars it is two bolts, this seems to be different. The column drop has one hole and the dash bracket has two large holes. This car came to me in pieces with boxes of parts. Maybe something is missing. If anyone could shed some light on this, I would appreciate it. Thanks

  3. Does anyone know where the fuel line runs on the 34 Lasalle? Passenger side frame rail would put it close to exhaust system. If it is on driver's frame rail, where does it pass over to the passenger side where the fuel pump is on the straight eight engine?

  4. There is a hole in the top of the fuel bowl cover about 1/8 inch diameter. Carb is EE14 on a lasalle. The carb also has an electric choke. I saw a small pic on the net of what looked like a brass fitting on the hole, but not sure. Anybody know what this hole is for?

  5. According to the 1934 lasalle shop manual and original wiring diagrams they had a 961C two brush gen equipped with a cut out/current regulator. In 1935 they added the voltage regulator. This gen. says 961D, there probably isn't much difference between C and D. This is a 6 volt pos. ground.

  6. I am working on a 1934 Lasalle. The generator regulator is missing. They had a cut out/current regulator. The generator puts out about 25 amps. Is there a cut out/current regulator/voltage regulator available that controls current to about 22 amps and 6 volts? The generator number is Delco 961D.

    961D.

  7. The fenders on your car would be 38. 39 fenders won't fit without major surgery at the lower rear of the fenders. The 38 lens is shallow and has to use the wider 38 trim ring. (wider at top). The 39 lens has a higher profile and has to use the narrower 39 trim ring. Either 38 or 39 lenses should fit your 38 fenders as long as you use their matching trim rings. My 38 has 39 lenses and trim rings. I can't remember if I had to modify the lens clips.

  8. Hi Roy, the engine bay is the same color as the lower outer car body. I picked the colors from a fleet color book at NAPA. They don't have a name, just a number. The other car is a 38 convertible, you may not like the fact that it doesn't have the V12. I found the car with no engine. I made a completely new chassis for it and did a little customizing to the body. These are before and after pics.

  9. Ten years after finding the car, the first thing my friend did was get it painted before anything was repaired. So the only pictures I have are of the car painted. My task was to now restore it after paint was done. He did not get the interior painted, so I did that as well as painting other parts that needed redoing along with engine, trans, rear end, all new wiring, glass, gauges, mechanical brakes, gas tank, lighting and what ever was needed to get it road worthy.
