I see that Bendstens makes adaptors for Nailheads & Straight Eights - availiable for several GM transmissions TH350, 700R etc. not sure if the Holden version is the same though... http://www.transmissionadapters.com I am considering a kit for my Straight 8, has anybody dealt with these guys? positive/negative?

That's great info guys, I concur that the early Mc Cullogh blowers are the answer and have already been chasing down leads on them...(Anybody?) Apparently they are not that easy to find... I have visions of all sorts of weird plenum arrangements, but really need to get a blower into my mitts first. I'd sure prefer to find a vintage unit. I missed Portland this year but maybe I'll have some luck at one of the smaller shows. In the meantime the block is readying for rebuild... assuming that I overbore the block (perhaps around .0625)... what compression should I be aiming for? Somewhere on the internet there is a fellow who did a pretty neat install on a 320 in a '51 Roadmaster?(can't quite remember) He did a real decent job of a Grand National turbo system.

Mine suffers the usual 'crack in the box'... exhaust manifold is shot too... Pacific Northwest area. Geese

I just looked at a rough '69 Beaumont (Canadaian Malibu - the beautiful version))rolling w/o drivetrain - 2dr ht, 283/powerglide car guy wanted $2K canadaian - call it $1750USD. Always depends a lot on what you are looking at - if you are looking at a 396 car, SS etc it can obviously be worth alot more. I'll probably buy this car for parts although it's a fine base for a decent project. Looking for '6- beaumont parts in western canada/ malibu in the pacific NW if you know of anything.. have fun Geese

put a tape on it from bellhousing to fan pulley, a 320 will be about 44" a 265 will be a couple inches shorter..or get the serial # off it.

IF that's a 320 I'm real interested... I'm near Vancouver BC. So there's a few logisticst to work out but nothing major... call me @ 604 835 2440 - Neal

jim, I have a block that I can check the numbers on but I think it's a 265... might be a '41 I was looking at your engine compatment attachment & wanted to know if the header setup there was a aftermarket production / factory aftermarket or what. Have you ever seen a supercharger setup for a straight eight...? BTW -I am looking for a 320cu if you see one. Geese
