  1. I've retired, I'm moving and I'm selling my "daily driver" '91 white/black/black 3.0 with about 130,000 miles. Engine bearings and auto. tranny have both been professionally checked out and OK'd. I have all the paperwork. Good runner. Excellent interior, very good hard & soft tops. Headlights, windshield and sheet metal are very good. Brand new Interstate battery and aluminum radiator. Front struts, wheel bearings have been replaced. Great project car (rusty rockers, needs brake system accumulator (TC Parts, AZ), daily driver or parts car. Car comes with replacement carpeting, new LR & RR bumper rub strips, hard top storage/winch unit and every TC America newsletter from 1995 to present. I won't move the car and we close on our house in 3 weeks so the first offer north of $2,250 drives it away. 402-681-3479.
  2. Has anyone successfully refinished the original TC cast wheels? Mine are OK but pretty dull. Center inserts are fine. Is it possible to just have them clear laquered and be done?
  3. The TC America club about a year ago was going to place an order for leather for TC interiors. Don't know if it happened but you might want to email the club president at tcclubceo@aol.com.
  4. My '91 has more miles on it but have resolved two mystery sounds that might help you. 1. There was a distinct rattle (metal) in the front end that I could hear and feel in the floor pan when going over small bunps. Replaced the front shock/struts twice before learning the rattle came from the upper strut mount bushing, which was warn. Replaced both sides. Problem solved. 2. Had a grating noise coming from the front end. Frequency would speed up and down with speed of the car but not change with gear changes, so not in the tranny. The problem was front wheel bearings. Have now changed bearings on all four wheels. Nice and smoothe and quiet.
  5. Just FYI, for anyone who's interested. I just had my 3.0 lower engine inspected. I'm about to do a "driver" restoration and wanted to know what, if any, disasters awaited in the bowels of my V6. With about 140,000 on the thing, my trusted mechanics, who have worked on hundreds of these motors, said the bearings look like new. They also said the lower end of these engines almost never "shoot craps." Apparently, these things are tanks. I've had the heads (valve guides) done and, when I asked what they recommended, they said, "Other than normal maintenance, just drive it." 3.0 engine resource: http://www.thedodgegarage.com/30v6.html
  6. Has anyone "chipped" their 3.0 ECU for improved performance? I believe the performance guys make a chip for the 3.0 but I don't know which mfgr. or what kind of luck (or lack of it) TC owners have had by upgrading. Anybody? My son chipped his Audi S4 twin turbo and it turned into a rocket! I don't expect that kind of performance boost from our dear, little 3.0, however.
  7. I need a couple of things: Good trunk seal - no splits. Rear bumper strips, including hardware -- both sides, will take all as a set if metal hardware isn't rusted. Rear license plate bracket. Prices?
  8. Are you selling any of the outside moldings? I need the rear bumper moldings, particularly the two outside moldings. Price? Also need a rear license plate bracket.
  9. Will you part out the rear bumper moldings? I need the two outside side moldings, assuming they are the same as my '91. Please advise.
  10. Does Lynn Steele or any other mfgr. make door, window and/or trunk seals for the TC? I could use a new/better trunk seal. Anybody? I'll check LS online and post anything I find. TCAmerica #2426
  11. I'm in the process of deciding whether to do a "driver" restoration on my '91 TC with high miles or buy a lower mileage car. Can you provide a photo or two and a brief description of the mileage and any major work done to the car or needed, e.g. brakes/ABS, etc. What about hard/soft conv. tops? Any rust? Thanks.
