Just FYI, for anyone who's interested. I just had my 3.0 lower engine inspected. I'm about to do a "driver" restoration and wanted to know what, if any, disasters awaited in the bowels of my V6. With about 140,000 on the thing, my trusted mechanics, who have worked on hundreds of these motors, said the bearings look like new. They also said the lower end of these engines almost never "shoot craps." Apparently, these things are tanks. I've had the heads (valve guides) done and, when I asked what they recommended, they said, "Other than normal maintenance, just drive it." 3.0 engine resource: http://www.thedodgegarage.com/30v6.html
