  2. Glad you have enjoyed the pics, yes there were some real nice cars. I better make it known that the blue and white 54 coupe that I posted as an attachment belongs to Robert & Lyndal Croxford. They won most popular car award at the Nationals as well as best 50's category.

  6. Thanks guys there is a lot of information there that will be very helpful and relevant to those in USA but as I live in Australia I was trying to get some feedback on who was the most reputable/reliable supplier of rebuild kits that I could deal with and have them ship to Australia. I know of Kanters and Egge any others that are worth checking out? Website addresses would be appreciated..Thanks Brian.
  7. Picture attached of my newly aquired 1934 8/40 sedan that we drove out of a shed where it had been sleeping for over 40 years! Nice and complete and solid as a rock. Needs a resto but it is all there and drives nice. It's Right hand drive, body made by Holden GM Australia and has some subtle differences to the Fisher body.
  8. Here is my new Car!. An original 1934 8/40 that was driven out of a shed after "sleeping" for 40 years! 100% original and solid as a rock. But she needs a resto and first on the list is rebuild the engine. So here is my question ...who does everyone consider to be the supplier of the best engine rebuild kits for this era (1934)There seems to a lot out there but who is regarded as the best?
  9. Can anyone tell me the original diff ratio for a 1934/35 Buick 8/40 and were there any other options? Has anyone converted these diffs to a higher ratio for better highway speed or bolted in another diff altogether? If so which model diffs can been used?
