Looking at this supposed 1972 Riviera 3.42 posi rear for sale.

 

Can anyone tell me what the "95" is for next to the QA on the axle tube?

Hello everyone, I'm posting this vehicle for a good friend. EVERYTHING is original. All original miles. He is the third owner of the vehicle second owner was his father-in-law and the first owner was the original owner of the car. It hasn't seen bad weather in the last 25 years always garage kept. He has done regular maintenance to keep the car running. Only thing that's not original is the paint. The power windows are all working condition no mechanical issues turn right on. Yes, from Columbus OH, either 2009 or 2010 I think.  Looks the same now that I put whitewalls back on it.   The current pic I have on my computer is upside down.

1972 Boat tail Riviera survivor in solid condition. I pulled it out of a barn after being parked there since 1988, an honest barn find! I've replaced the windshield, radiator, water pump, fuel pump, alternator, rebuilt the carb, replaced the rubber fuel lines. I rebuilt the transmission as it was starting to slip from sitting so long. The car now runs and drives well enough to be an in town cruiser. The body is straight and essentially rust free, inner fenders are good, and the floor pan is solid with only a little surface rust. The paint is showing its age, and has a scratch on the passenger side. The vinyl top has a few rock chip holes in and could stand to be replaced. Interior is in good condition and the only seat damage is wear the stitching has torn on the drivers seat. I did pull the carpet out as it was damaged and needed to go. Most electrical controls work as well. The car has the factory 455 with 126,000 miles on it. It would make an awesome survivor restoration, or a great platform for a complete restoration, you choose!
