Yes I did - after about a month of on/off negotiations. Are you in the Seattle area as well?
MrFreeze
Yes, I am in Kent. And a few weeks ago I was at a Sunday cruise-in in Renton, and spoke with the guy who had consigned it at Park Place (I had my 65 at the cruise-in).

Nice looking car, did you buy it at Park Place Motors?

What do you guys think of his price? Reasonable? Too high, too low?
I have been thinking about selling my 55 Century, which was also a frame off resto, probably at least as nice as this one.

Stunning in its original Burnished Bronze paint and white vinyl roof, our gorgeous, sleek Riviera is simply one of the most beautiful cars made in the 1970s. A boat tail design that is reminiscent of the 1930s Auburn Speedster and even the 1963 split-window Corvette, this long, sleek Buick features it’s all original steel body and arrow-straight panels. The body’s condition is impeccable. There are 2 small issues to note. The door seals are due for replacements and there is a tiny bit of surface rust near the passenger rear wheel well opening. Even with the original door seals there is no wind noise in the cabin. All of the extensive chrome- the bumpers, the side trim, window trim, and factory badges are all there and look great. The white vinyl roof is original as is all the glass, and hubcaps. The paint is original and looks good from 10 feet, but there are some splotches visible on the rear of the car.
The original white vinyl front and rear seats of the beautiful Riviera are still in excellent condition. Those old-school GM seats are the essence of quality and durability. This car is 50 years old, but is sure doesn’t look that way from the inside. With only 36K original miles, the interior is pristine. From the dash to the original carpet and floor mats, this super clean big Buick is a two-door time machine. The clock is not operational at this time nor the AC, but everything else inside works. The factory 8-track is still in place, but has been supplanted by the owner with an aftermarket stereo installed. Original features that came on the car like power steering, brakes, rear defroster and cruise control are all there. As for the AC, our Owner has removed the belt that drives the compressor. Electric windows work fine, too.
The exciting, innovative styling of the Riviera is matched with the biggest engine Buick has ever made. The 455 cubic inch V-8 with Rochester QuadraJet four-barrel carb gets the job done. With enough torque to pull a house down the street, the still-fresh motor has undergone a few procedures since our owner bought it. The entire fuel delivery system has been cleaned and cleared, including cleaning and sealing the original gas tank. New plugs and wire have been installed and a HEI electronic ignition fitted to replace the original points set up. After sitting so long, the block was flushed multiple times to make sure the coolant flow is optimal. A new radiator was also fitted. The carb has been rebuilt as well. A 3-speed Turbo Hydramatic automatic transmission shifts the gears. It is all original and works perfectly. The big Riv came with discs up front and drums in the rear. A brake refresh was recently done on all 4 wheels. The car runs, stops and drives very well.
This car is being auctioned on a new classic car auction site. We provide a 3rd party inspection, professional photos and a walk around video - See the auction here - https://www.clasiq.com/auction/1972-buick-riviera/

This vehicle runs and drives well. Accelerates smoothly and has a strong idle. An original carburetor and numbers matching engine this car is equipped with an automatic dynaflow transmission, 200hp/322 V8 engine. Power; steering, brakes, windows, front seat and convertible top. Heater with defrost. AM radio and much more. Like new chrome and clean interior.
Potentially only 400 of these models remaining in todays market, this skylark is rare. Production was limited with just 836 examples built.
Garage kept and maintained. This car has been stored in a climate controlled room since 1974. Appearing to be in overall factory condition, this Skylark has been driven only 3000 miles since it’s restoration in 2000.
A beautiful example of the engineering and manufacturing that this company started many years ago. Owning this Skylark gives you the opportunity to experience Buick like never before.

I am the second owner. I baught it 10 years ago from the original family. I had the car fully inspected from a guy out of Florida before I baught it. I have the paper work I can send over. The car has just been serviced. I have all my contact information and questions from the original family. Includes owners manual and window sticker.
They made 3175 gs models in 1971. I believe this is probably one of the nicer all original cars left. I believe this car is all original and a untouched survivor. With possibly a few spot paint. Great collector car. I can send more pictures and info if needed. Not here to waste anyones time. -
