  1. This bumper is on our 1929 Chevrolet truck. Can anyone verify that it is correct?...or can someone tell me what it really belongs on?
  2. This rear bumper guard has the opening for a license plate light. Hopefully someone can identify it. The one on the right does not have the light opening....any help would be appreciated... Thanks...
  3. When I get it home I will be able to scrutinize it, but one thing for sure....it has a 6 cyl chevy engine that looks identical to a '28 Chevy sedan that was at the show on Sunday. I did overhear someone comment that the fenders look like Model T.
  4. Actually I was going to remove the black paint and polish them so they would be 'eye-catchers'. We will also add a siren and a good friend in the police department has promised to get us a couple black and white stripped prison suits (which they still use down here in Texas!). I expect to bring the vehicle home next week and will get dimensions then. Keep Smiling...
  5. I was just browsing the AACA site and found this 1912 Kisselkar picture. Sure looks like it has the same headlights!!! 1914 Kissekkar Semi-racer - AACA PHOTO GALLERY
  6. I found this hubcap in a junkyard in Tennessee a few years ago. It sure looks like the wings and wheel of the Indy 500. any help would be appreciated. It looks great in my display case, but sure would like to be able to tell visitors what car it belongs to. Keep smiling....
  7. I have just acquired a 1929 Chevy truck (configured as NY Police Paddy Wagon for 5 movies) with brass headlights painted black. Does anyone recognize them? I would love to know what they really belong to. Any help would be appreciated. The bodies seem to be identical, but the front doors are different. One is convex and one is concave.
  8. Reducing my collection.... This car is 98% complete but needs a TOTAL restoration. Some bad wood. What I know is missing are the following: sidemount covers, fuel pump, starter, windshield wipers, hubcaps. I do have lenses and reflectors and VERY nice vanity boxes complete with the original perfume bottles. This car came out of the McManus, CA yard back in the 60s. 78 of this body style were made, approximately 12 still exist. Running boards are very solid. The car is located in in Houston area. Asking price is $21,500. CASH SALE ONLY!!!! I could part this out for twice the price, but hate to see another Twelve go to oblivion. For details contact me Bob Supina at <packardman@hal-pc.org>
  9. I have an NOS stainless trim that is still in the brown wrapper. It is marked FM 1108-L 4561944 (or maybe it was just FM 108-L 4561944) Sure would like to know what car used it. It is 69" long.
  10. The story has not changed.... When I got into this crazy hobby in 1964, I lived down the street from a restoration shop, Wilkinson & Sharpe. they were restoring a 1934 Packard Twelve convertible coupe. One day I was chatting with the owner. He grieved.."...I've got $5,000 in this car...I'll NEVER get it back out!" (I had just bought a 1937 Packard Twelve Formal sedan out of a junkyard...had to give $100.00 for it!" I'm sure that all us old timers could fill your ears with such stories....
