  1. The above attachment will show you the first ever shop class project I ever made in the 7th grade. It is of a Duesenberg,I think a 1932,the photo came out of a calendar from 1979 I think.Maybe someone on here knows of the car??? If they do please let the owner know my story. I got a B+ for my grade on that project. It was the first thing I hung on the wall of my first ever garage.

    Thanks,

    Matt

I have a friend with a hoist like that. They are very nice and if I can get a decent (DRIVER) 1966 Mustang for the wife I might have to get one.

I love those 1956 continentals, every body line on those cars are just perfect unlike my Rambler but I still love it anyway.Your blue convertible is just outstanding.

    Thanks,

    Matt

  3. We moved into a new place with a garage so I was able to get the SC in Harley in where there is HEAT !!!!!!!!!! This beats the heck out of keeping them in a cold storge building.

The garage is more like a bedroom for these toys. I put down carpet and added a little fridge and TV. It has been very cold and snowy here in Pa over the weekend so I just sat in the SC/Rambler and watched Miami Vice on the TV !!!

That felt like it took a lot of years off me,I felt like a big kid and my wife was happy to agree with that statement. She did bring me my dinner as I sat in the car, life can be very good at times. When I need to do any real work to them I take them to my friends garage as he has all the tools and such.

Maybe someday I can have a two stall garage but that could take another twenty years.

Having fun on a cold winter day,

    Matt

  4. John from zazzle called me lastnight and we had a nice talk about the A.A.C.A. and SC/Ramblers. He said that my images will be added to the A.A.C.A. site today that way anyone who wants to buy them can and the A.A.C.A. will get their cut.

The A.A.C.A. link will be added to the Hurst SC/Rambler registry if that is OK with you. See http://www.joiesjeeps.com ,you will see the stamp on a fake letter on this home page and read the side bar to the right.

    Thanks,

    Matt

  5. <div class="ubbcode-block"><div class="ubbcode-header">Quote:</div><div class="ubbcode-body">Matt, it is my understanding that yes, other people can purchase your stamp thru our site. I will get the details on how that is done. </div></div>

Steve, it looks to me as if the stamps that I had made were posted on their AACA link that people could buy them there. It looks like the last post that was put on that AACA link was done 10/23/05. I don't know if the Zazzle guys are to post the AACA members products or not???

Anyhow I got some of my stamps and they are great, real nice job. My wife used them to mail the bills today, that had never been fun until now.

It looks like I have at least 10 people around here that want 100 SC/Rambler stamps !!!! We will place a order for at least 1,000 of them after the first of the year after the price change on U.S. stamps has taken place.I also have AMC people asking me where they can get them at,this is great for the AMC hobby. I told them all that I went through the A.A.C.A. to get my stamps so I told them about the club.Hopefully some of them might join.

There is also a second stamp I had made, see attachment.

    Thanks,

    Matt Wilson

  6. I have ordered 10 sheets of stamps and should have them soon. I went to their site from the AACA link but don't know if the AACA got a cut from the sale or not ??? I guess they did.

I have many local people and AMC people that want to buy my SC/Rambler stamps. Is there a way that they can be put up for sale by ZAZZLE ??? I'm not looking to make any money off this stamp,It would just be cool to see other people using the stamp besides myself.

It would be great if a book of stamps could be put together with a lot of the AACA cars.

    Thanks,

    Matt

  7. This is a great idea !!!!!!!!!!!!!! THIS IS JUST GREAT what a nice job they did.

l_My%20SCRambler%201528.jpg They wouldn't make the stamp with the AACA and AMC logo on it so I made the stamp that you see in the attachment also.It went through Ok so I ordered two more sheets. I showed the guys this stamp at the big post office up here today when I was delivering Bulk mail for work. They went nuts as they thought it was great as the car is red, white and blue and looks a lot like the paint schemes on the mail trucks. They also think the hood scoop looks like a mail box !!!!!! They think if one of the big guys sees that stamp that they might want to use it as a regular stamp, time will tell.

    thanks,

    Matt

I'm also posting a photo of the totally original 1971 T-Bird that I sold last year. I was the first person under the age of 70 to ever drive this car and I was the second owner. I bought it off the owners wife three years ago, she was 97. This was the nicest car I have ever owned and I hated to sell it. A 85 year old man bought the car off me as he has always wanted a Black one. I can buy it back from him whenever I want,I might just do that if I can get the money someday. It was only sold because I have my dream Rambler and the Harley you see with the T-Bird.The other motorcycle I gave to a friend that always wanted one but never had any money because he has a child with special needs. He has a lot of fun with that bike !!!!!!

  9. Nice photos !!!

I wanted to be there this year but could not as my Daughter was on military leave. I will have the Hurst SC/Rambler there next year, rain or shine. I'm not afraid of the rain for a AACA meet and I see that there were some others that feel the same way, very cool !!!!

    Thanks,

    Matt

Hi Tom and thanks a bunch for that photo !!!!!! It means more to me then you will ever know. That Hurst SC/Rambler in the PIONEER AUTO SHOW is the first one I ever saw.I stood by that car with my family 24 years ago and told them that I would have one of those cars someday. It took me 22 years to get one so to see the painting of my (B) scheme SC/Rambler on the wall above their SC just means so much.My parents are still living so they get to share in this.

I have been so lucky with all the cool things that have happen with my SC but to have that photo with my car on the wall will never be topped. Years from now when I'm a old man I will have that photo to remember that great trip with my family and to remind me that dreams do come true and I did it with a Rambler!!!!!

How did you like the Pionner Auto Show ? Bet you didn't know that was my SC hanging on the wall.

    Tom, I thank you again,

    Matt

  11. Have any of you ever been to the Pioneer Auto Show in Murdo,South Dakota ?

I was there in 1981 and that is where I saw my first Hurst SC/Rambler that started my dream of owning one. They had so many great cars it would take me forever to tell you about this place.I will tell you that if you ever get the chance to check it out please do.

If any of you have been there this year did you notice this SC/Rambler(A)paint scheme setting there ?

    Picture%2016.jpg

If so did you see a painting of my (B)paint scheme SC/Rambler by it. He had a man making a frame for it and I was just wondering if he might have gotten it done and hung it up yet.

I hope you click on and vote for the SC. Look around the site as there are many cars you can vote for. There are some really nice ANTIQUE cars posted also, not just all custom stuff.

  13. Mr Tewell owned the AMC Dealership in Uniontown Pa and is still selling used cars at the same place now at the age of 78 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

He has five old AMC cars that have not been seen out in public in over twenty five years !!! They are all original low mileage cars !!! Never been repainted or anything. He had showed me these cars last year, they have been kept in a dark basement with no heat for years. He was happy to see all the attention my SC/Rambler has been getting so he had his man clean these cars up and took them to a local show this past weekend !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    852My_SCRambler_1344-med.jpg

I'm happy to say that all three of his AMC's won a trophy at this show, they are all super nice and I love the old Nash. He also has a nice Met and a Pacer that has never been titled.

    852My_SCRambler_1347-med.jpg

He says when it comes time for him to let them go he will be in touch with me !!!!!!!!!!

    thanks,

    Matt

Yes I told him about the AACA.

  14. Here are some more videos of me using the Hurst SC/Rambler. You will see that I still use this car as the muscle car it is. It might not be perfect but man is it ever fun !!!!!

I had to refilm these off of the TV as they were VHS tapes so the images aren't the best but they are good enough. I hope these take some of you guys & Gals back in time a bit!!!! Maybe some of you have videos of your cars. I would like to see them all.

These are short videos so they will load quick.
