  1. From Pictures I've seen of Dash Boards from the mid 1920's it appears that Packard, Pierce Arrow, Wills Saint Claire, Buick, maybe others used the same Delco Dash Board, (Light, Key, Ignition switch) all in one gauge? Buick had a different bezel surround. Packard used Delco #1278.

I would like to buy a complete gauge, or some parts for the above. Oval Glass for the Packard gauge and one, or 2 original levers for turning on the ignition and lights. I have one original lever that is not broken and solid. I would rather find at least one more original rather than use the new Buick re-pop's. My Packard, it's an unrestored survivor.

    Thanks, Jim

  2. I have no interest in owning these, I'm getting too old to collect items like this now, but someone might want to add these too their collection. This is at a small local antique auction house in Minnesota. Luther Auctions, North St.Paul, Minnesota. They will ship these items to the winner. On line auction only. Ends, Monday Feb. 22nd.

First post on here. I just bought a 54 Lincoln Capri with ac for my wife. The system seems to be complete including the plastic tubes from the trunk.

My question is, is this a rarity? I would like to keep it and get it working for the originality of the car, but my wife wants to go with vintage air and get rid of the big box in the trunk and the tubes.

Would like to know if they are difficult to get parts for and if they can get converted to r-134.

I am in AZ and the car is a lifetime AZ car. It's been parked under a hay barn since 65. 98% complete.

    Thanks

Keep it original, or sell it to someone who will. Easier to replace a wife than this RARE option.

    From Look Magazine, May 1938

"A full-Sized Automobile Engine made almost entirely of glass was a feature of the 1938 auto show in Berlin Germany. A manufacturer of nuts and bolts used it to show the hidden uses of his products

So I scarily was serious about buying this when my kids were young.   My wife (thank god) put the kabosh on it because she said there was no way she would stay alone in that house when I was away.   It sat on its own and you couldn't see another house.     On the plus side,  the carriage house would hold 9 cars according to my calculations.

I bet "Mary Bailey" from "It's a Wonderful Life" would have you living in it. :)

  7. Attn: Owners of Packard Runabout's (Roadsters) from the 1920's with rumble seats. Each rumble seat lid has a pair of locks with covers. Most of the time they are broken or missing.
I have 2 sets of these covers/bases for sale. They are rough castings of brass and need to be cleaned up and plated. Each set consist of 4 pieces (2 lids and 2 bases.) You will have to rivet them together after you have them plated. Easy
1923-1928, maybe early 1929. Fits both 6 or 8 cylinder cars
Made by a Packard collector in the 1970's-80's. Mr. Oexle
    I only have 2 pairs
Price is $100.00 pair USA for 4 pieces.
Thanks, Jim Fredrick of St.Paul, MN. USA
