The Mark Smith car was super cool. I spent a bunch of time looking at it. And like most of Mark stuff it was very original.

The late Frank Kleptz I think may have owned this car before Mark Smith. I remember seeing this car, or one like it in his collection when I was looking at his 1937 Chrysler CW Custom Imperial Airflow Limo that was owned by Major Bowes in the day.

Showing my profound ignorance of prewar cars.  What is the meaning of "Stationary Coupe"?  The literal meaning would be a display only object?

Sitting around reading my De Luxe Stearns-Knight salesman's booklet for the eight cylinder cars.   Maybe this is mentioned already?

"As originally developed, the engine has nine main bearings, completely counter-weighted crankshaft, weighing, complete, 134lbs."

This makes me wonder what other crankshafts typically weigh.

    1934-37 Chrysler Custom Imperial straight 8, 384.5 C.I. , nine main bearings, 115lbs.
