My car runs right at 180° according to the gauge. It will, however, creep up to ~195ish when stopped idling in traffic on a hot (>80° F) day.
I wouldn't worry to much if it hits 195 only when idling on a hot day and drops down once you start moving because your antifreeze also raises the boiling point. It's not ideal but doubt it would hurt anything. Does the temperature drop if you remain standing still but run the rpms up?

If you have installed new radiator hoses put a spring in the lower hose as they are using less rubber and it will collapse.
I have a 1937 Special and I run a 160 thermostat (1/8 hole in the flange), original fan, unaltered bypass and original radiator and my car usually runs at about 170 in the summer. In Charlotte in 2012 it got up to 185 while idling for a train to pass with the ambient temperature around 100 but dropped as soon as I started moving.
When I put the freeze plug in my bypass I had mine tack welded in place) the car rarely got above 160 so I went back t my original one.
Have you flushed the engine? Has it been rebuilt? I've heard after rebuilding the engines tend to run hotter.

very careful torquing
Although the torque wrench was invented earlier I don't think there was much in the way of torque specs until mid 30's or later. Probably not used much until after WWII.

I'm asking $45 but like the rest of my parts I'm accepting offers.

The centre light-emblem assembly is 1939 or 1940.
I'll take your word for that. All I know is it came off of a 1938 I parted out in the late 70's-early 80's.

This is a solid fender with minor issues that hopefully you can see in the pictures.

Don't remember if the brake shoes and hardware are inside the drums, but I think they are included. This is out of a Special and is the 1-4.44 rear end. It's not frozen up as the driveshaft gear turns by turning the axle.
Not shipping but I welcome pickup, will to deliver to the Buick National in Strongsville or reasonable fee for local delivery. Located in Portage County, Ohio.
I'm asking $50 but like the rest of my parts I'm accepting offers.

I'm looking to downsize.
Offered here is a non wheel-well front left fender that came off of a car I parted out years ago. Little rough but at least there aren't any surprises.
I'm located in Portage County Ohio and not shipping it. However I can deliver to the Buick Nationals in Strongsville, Oh or locally.
Asking $125.

I'm looking to downsize.
Offered here is a pair of fenders that I bought for my car years ago and no longer need. Not pristine but with a little work would probably be pretty good.

This is a used remote control drivers side remote mirror. It was taken off my father's 1973 Fury sometime in the 70's and been in the box ever since. The part number is 2935 217. My understanding is this fits 1966 through 1974 but please make sure it's correct for your car as I'm just going by sellers on Ebay. In my opinion it is a very good driver quality mirror. The cables seem to move the mirror alright. I haven't tried cleaning it up but it does have a few pits and scuffing, but it's hard to show in pictures.
I'm adding pictures and if anyone wants better or more pictures I'll try.
I'm asking $40 plus shipping.

Perhaps the original poster can tell us what the seller is asking for this BUICK. Either in U.S.D. or whatever. I'm sure that will prompt some comments from the group here. John
The same poster has a post in the general Discussion Forum where he is trying to establish a price and is looking for input. His post says ;
Hello! I'm looking to establish a good sales price for a restored 1938 Buick Ambulance.

But it would also increase water movement by the water pump and air intake.
Is timing correct?
