  1. Hi, I've got a color laser printer and might be able to help. Are you sure that you can't download the font by itself and use it in an older version of Windows? Please e-mail me your phone number and I'll call you. I'd be happy to help you and print up some labels. Ken Sobel hypnotist01@sbcglobal.net
  2. Try "YNZ" at www.ynzyesterdaysparts.com Their phone number is 909-798-1498 and are located in southern California. They did the harness for my 1934 Dodge and it was beautiful!! They have also done the harnesses for some friends. Ken Sobel
  3. Pete, Contact Fiken Wiper Service, 132 Calvert Avenue, West Babylon, NY, 11704. Their phone number is: 631-587-3332 Their website is: www.wiperman.com A few years ago I bought a BRAND NEW wiper motor from them for my 1934 Dodge and I was very happy with my purchase. Hope this helps! Ken Sobel
  4. MoparBob, I've been using a 6-volt, positive ground alternator in my 1934 Dodge for years. It's SO much better than the original generator, especially for stop and go traffic in the Los Angeles area. It fully charges my system at an idle and keeps the battery up, so I don't have to keep adding water to the battery. There's a local company who made it for me for a little over $100.00. Send me an e-mail with your land-line number and I'll call you with more information. Ken Sobel hypnotist01@sbcglobal.net
  5. I had my 1934 Dodge restored at a prison in Nevada. This is a major program where the prisoners work on about 30 cars at any given time. The program has been in effect over 20 years. My friend just had his 1957 Chevy convertible built there and they did a beautiful job. Contact me at hypnotist01@sbcglobal.net if you want more information. If you give me a land-line number I'll be happy to call you. Ken Sobel
  6. In what part of the country are you located?
  7. Can anyone sell me a 1934 Dodge horn trumpet in good to excellent condition? Thanks, Ken Sobel 818-995-6865

  9. That's what I like about the Dodge Brothers Club. It's members are so generous, both with information and their generousity. That's also why I'll be going to the DB National Meet in Lethbridge this summer instead of the WPC in Chicago. Unfortunately, they both occur at the same time in July. Ken Sobel
  10. Try Mike at Valley Wire Wheel Service in Van Nuys, CA. His phone number is: 818-785-7237. He does really good work. Ken Sobel
  11. There is a woman in Burbank who redid my 1934 emblems. She does great work. Contact me at hypnotist01@sbcglobal.net and I'll look up her number. Also, Google Emblemagic. Ken Sobel
  12. Contact Don Axelrod at Headlight Headquarters. He knows everything about headlights and has a whole lot of parts. His number is: 781-598-0523. Ken Sobel
  13. OK - I hope that you're successful. Ken Sobel
  14. Go to www.gener-nator.com for information on the company that converts your generator housing into an alternator. The guy lectured at the Dodge Brothers National Meet a year ago. He builds the alternator completely inside your generator housing. It's a single-wire connection to the battery. You could run the wire through your voltage regulator (bypassing the old regulator innards) and connect the battery wire to the old regulator post. That will provide a totally original look while providing you with a modern, 50-amp trouble-free electrical generating system. I know that driving my 1934 Dodge in today's Los Angeles stop (and rarely go) traffic would discharge my battery quickly if I relied on the old 21-amp generator. Good Luck with your project. Ken Sobel
  15. Jim, When I last tested my 6-volt 1934 Dodge, I connected the meter to a 12-volt source.
  16. Hi, I purchased a mascot for my 1934 Dodge from Don Sommer. It's chrome over stainless steel and looks beautiful. You can look him up on the internet by going to: www.donsommer.com He's located in Michigan and his phone number is: 248-435-6115 He does beautiful work and he charges $430.00 for mascots for 1932-1934 Dodges. They include all of the radiator cap equipment. I hope that this helps. Ken Sobel hypnotist01@sbcglobal.net
  17. If your speedometer is working OK you might Google: GAUGE FACE RESTORATION There are many companies who will restore your speedo face like new.
  18. Jon, There are at least two companies who will convert your old generator case to carry an internal alternator putting out about 50 amps. The "genernator" will then look absolutely original and will provide all the advantages of an alternator. If you're interested, contact me and I'll look up the manufacturer's information for you. 19. At the bottom of this page, jump to the WPC site. Someone asked that question and there are many responses and sources. For my 1934 Dodge, I go to my local fire station and they grease my pump with their fire pump grease. It's a thick, blue waterproof grease. It's worked fine for me for years. Ken Sobel
  20. I go to my local fire station and they give me a shot of their water pump grease. It's a heavy grease, blue in color and does the job.
  21. Roger, Thanks for the info. Question: Will sedan wheels fit the bolt pattern from the pickup? Thanks and I hope to see you in Lethbridge. I hope to be recovered by then from the accident I had after the Traverse City show. Ken Sobel
  22. I was also concerned about unleaded gas when I first bought my 1934 Dodge. I contacted a couple of gasoline manufacturers and asked the same question as you. Their response was that unleaded regular would be no problem, especially with the low compression ratios in my engine. I've run many of thousands of miles since then and have experienced no detrimental effects. Ken Sobel
  23. I'm trying to help someone who contacted me. He's in dire need of a set of 16" steel wheels for a 1934 Dodge Pickup. Can anyone help? Also, are these the same wheels on the passenger vehicle? Thanks as always, Ken Sobel hypnotist01@sbcglobal.net

  25. Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately, I was seriously injured on my way to both Chryslers at Carlisle and then on to the WPC. I really missed going to the WPC as I have enjoyed all the others and was involved in putting on the Hooray for Hollywood meet last year. I hope to be back on my feet for next year's meet. Thanks again, Ken Sobel
