Thanks for response and heads up re sidemounts

Posted not long ago about tires for my 36 special. 650-16 will need 6 as have sidemounts. Goodyear was suggested and I would like to get them but can't justify paying 35 more a tire more than $200. Found 6 Firestone 4" whitewalls which I can get delivered for $1270. Seems like fair deal--Question--Anyone have these tires-suggestions? Goodrich would appear to be about same price. Looking to be original as possible and the ride not too important as I wouldn't expect to put alot of miles on car. Thoughts?
Thanks

Need to hang all pipes and muffler on my 1936 Century. The muffler has original hanger and I've connected exhaust pipe to muffler using a connector which I believe to be original. Connecting tailpipe to muffler not sure but doesn't seem to slip into muffler--both pipes seem to be of same diameter. Not sure where hangers for tailpipe go. Anyone with photo(s) or diagram would be appreciated or just explanation would hopefully be helpful. As always appreciate any help as I limp along trying to get my car back together.

Have 36 and might be interested in another. Need additional photos of engine and underneath. Would like to know a bit more about condition of car including any body work known and rust. Also need photos of trunk. Under running boards and connection of running board to fenders-front and back-usually rust there. Thanks and send photos to cookr@oge.com. Thanks

Sorry-I did not get email with photos of wipers. If you could resend I would appreciate it-don't know what happened. Send to cookr@oge.com and/or rlcokc@aol.com. I know I tried to send email to you at harris2u2ranch@yahoo.com on Thursday April 21 and got one message returned and re-sent and believe it went thru. Keep trying if you don't mind and I will respond when I receive. Thanks--I will try to send to your yahoo account as well. Will also post on board.

I can't-my welding skills not great. I plan to take and see but my experience with pot metal is that welding doesn't work and this is a moving part which will take some strain. I do have someone local who purports to weld pot metal and I have two of these which are broken and it is my intention to take and see if he can fix altho for my vehicle I would much prefer one which has not been welded so I can trust its' strength.

Funny-checked dwith Lucas tires and they told me Goodyear's $190 and when I said I'd take 6 said they were out of stock. Email today said back in stock but price raise to $210 apiece. May be going price but don't like doing business like that---told them I'd pass. Not in hurry for tires but would like to go ahead and do rims but I'll wait a while I guess.
Thanks for response--I do think from photos I've seen that they do look best.

speaker works-as I advised in the PM I could hear radio station and reception was good considering limited antenna but the vibration of radio was loud

Contacted Diamond Back and advised that 225/75R16 is modern translation of tire but with a cross section of 8.7 inches. Since I have sidemount spares which I intend to replace this would eliminate those tires as width would be too great to fit. Thanks for replies--additional comments/suggestions welcome.

Getting ready to purchase new tires for the 36 model 40. Has sidemounts so I'll be purchasing 6 tires 6.5 x 16. Been to Lucas, Diamond Back, Universal/Coker and not sure what I should purchase. Do want whitewall 3.5-4 inches but don't know what looks best---would like most original look. Any help/suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks

you are making sense and I have the piece you have photographed--I know exactly where it mounts but am not sure where/what portion of wiper motor it cradles or fits into. If not too much trouble could you advise where on motor the arm fits? I have the motor and if need be can post photo. Thanks for your help.

Thought I had doors back together but disassembled for some reason. Pictures of partially restored doors won't do you any good so attached a couple of doors when initially taken off car. Would appear from photos that the piece you have goes around the door handle and not window winder as I thought. See photos. Now mine is model 40 so I assume doors may be a bit smaller but there is nothing-no cover-on window winder.
If you could look at your windshield wiper and advise how knob connects I would appreciate it. Thanks

Believe it goes over the window winder--I have my doors at home and will try and remember to look tonight. I have model 40 and not am restoring, putting it back together now. The windsheild wiper knob ontop of dash connects to wiper but I'm not sure how. Do you have that assembly and/or can you explain how it attaches. Thanks and I'll try and post photo tomorrow of my doors with the piece attached.
