I have a '72 Road runner which has a rebuilt----- (STOCK)----- 1971 ---- 440 CI engine in front of a 4 speed manual transmission. The rear end is a 391 ratio which translates to a HIGH RPM at highway speed. Can anyone tell me what the RED LINE for a 1971 440 engine would likely be???? I have not driven it enough to see if it will overheat with this RPM in a long distance drive---but since it makes it's most horsepower and torque at ( I THINK ) 4600 RPM--I wonder what rpm at a constant speed is safe!!!!???? I am looking for a new pair of engine mounts for my 1964 LeSabre. It has a 300 CI 4 bbl Carb engine and is in front of a super turbine 400 tranny (car is all original). I have had no luck locally--all the mounts we look at are TOO BIG. If anyone has a source I could contact it would be very much appreciated. Thanks, Pitman

I have a 4 dr. sedan---- I have found for sale window regulators from a 2 Dr---DOES ANY ONE HAVE ANY IDEA IF THESE ARE THE SAME OR NOT??? I may be able to buy them right---- if I know they are the same--- and will work on my 4 dr.---OTHERWISE I WILL BE WASTING MY MONEY!!!! Thanks,

I have a 4 dr. sedan (29 chevy) that needs some transmission parts replaced. MY TRANNY is stamped 590391. I have located a possible DONOR TRANNY(in another state-of course) and the owner says it is stamped 590281. I wish to fix MY TRANNY--does anyone have any info as to whether or not the INTERNAL PARTS AND GEARS would be the same in his transmission as in MINE??? I do not own an interchange book or parts book to locate the info from. Any help will be much appreciated. PITMAN

I am working on a project car which has a 327 CI Corvette engine in it. I assume it is rated at 250HP---Does anyone have an opinion as to what OCTANE fuel this should run??? I assume 87 octane would work--but should it be running PREMIUM????

I am working on a 4 dr. sedan and am looking for several parts. The one I need NOW is a GLOVE BOX LINER---currently all I have is a glove box door-- which I screwed closed so that it will not POP OPEN. Am working on a 1937 Plymouth-4 DR. Sedan-- with suicide doors. I am looking for the right rear INTERIOR molding for the rear window ( rear window is a 2 section). Also need the chrome trim for the RIGHT FRONT HOOD extension (for lack of knowing the proper term). Would also like the proper GRILL EMBLEM if anyone has one. Any contacts or leads will be much appreciated.

I am also looking for the HOOD TRIM (chrome louvers on the side of the hood section) for the RIGHT HAND SIDE. i DO NOT KNOW WHAT ELSE TO CALL IT!!!

Am working on a '37 plymouth[4 dr. sedan with suicide doors] that is missing the interior molding for the RIGHT REAR WINDOW section of the rear window ( Window is 2 sections). Must be in good condition--ALSO looking for the GRILL EMBLEM---ship---that goes on the front between the 2 grill sections. Anyone with items or leads will be much appreciated!!!

I have a 40 Olds Model 70, 4 dr. sedan. [On E-Bay] -Grill parts are offered. The seller only knows the chrome belongs on the upper portion of a '40 grill. He did offer-- it is for a 40-3611 Body 3 1975 as to what it belongs to. Can anyone tell me if this might fit my vehicle???? The chrome trim on my grill is broken and these kind of look right in the picture. Thanks in advance for any response. Pitmabn

I have a Corvette 327 engine--guessing around 1965 vintage-- which needs a waterpump pulley. All my sources list pulleys for either a LONG or SHORT WATER PUMP---- HOW DO I DECIDE WHETHER MY PUMP IS ONE OR THE OTHER???? Thanks in advance for a prompy reply!!!!

Am in need of Running Boards for my '40 Olds G-40-4DR. Sedan. When purchased--the boards had been removed and destroyed before I got it. I do not even have an old one for a pattern. Any help will be much appreciated.

I have a 1972 Cutlass Supreme Convertible with an interior rearview mirror which is incomplete. The mirrorr is supposed to have a courtesy or map light in the lower section of the mirror--but it is missing, I am looking for the light guts and lens or a complete mirror with the light attached per original set-up. I have a 1972 Cutlass Supreme convertible that has the original cruise control installed in it. I need either an [ NOS ] or GOOD USED--- Vacuum Servo--- for the cruise control on my 350 engine. Does anyone have any info about suppliers or a source for reliable used parts at a reasonable price?? I have tried my local JUNK YARDS--and nothing is left.
