  1. You are looking for the cup expanders that go on the end of the springs. They are good to have but most of the time they are not necessary. The rubber cups today are superior to what was used 70 years ago. They do not come in the rebuild kits anymore. I have owned a 38 Dodge for the last 35 years and do not have the cup expanders.

  2. All the early Chryslers (1926 -1928) had serial numbers over the instrument panel that had 2 letters, then three numbers, then one letter (eg. CW-000-P to CR-838-L would be for a 1927-1928 Chrysler model 72). I do not see any year that had the numbers like yours

  3. The LC was a 36 Dodge 1/2 ton 6 cyl made between Nov 1935 and Dec 1936. The range of serial numbers were from 8105601 - 8156402. The number that starts with a "t" is usually the motor number. The engineering code for that year was T-23-A-116; the 116 was the wheelbase. The 4175 should be the gross weight with a 1000 lb load. The truck must weigh 3175 empty. Hope this helps.

  4. There were 2 kinds of filters used in 1938. A throwaway that was PB1/2 or a replaceable cartridge Fram C-4. They are still available. The PB1/2 is about $20. The C-4 about $5. As far as light sockets you will have to look around in flea markets. Try to find an old used reflector that has the socket in it. They used Riteway lens and reflectors. The reflector name is in small print on the outside edge.

  5. The following are Timken numbers from a 1929 Timken Bearing book for Maxwell Model E-B (AB not listed; may be the same or AB did not come with Timkin bearings?). Front wheel Inner- cone 355; cup 3520. Outer - cone 316; cup 312.
