  1. Don't worry about the horns. Won a set on e-bay for $8. Can't argue with that. Any luck on the floors? Thanks!
  2. Mee to. Love the two tone red... The horns (or brackets) on my car appear to be incorrect. They're mounted inside the fenders. All of the other '65 have them mounted on the outside of the inner fender. I think one points down and the other points out. Mine will only mount inside the fenders. Not sure if the horn and bracket (or mount??) are one unit Greg
  3. No problem at all Ted!! We all have lives outside of our Buicks.. (I think) If you have any extra horn brackets I'd be much obliged as well. Can't find 'em anywhere. Just give me a final tally for the damage. I saw that Wildcat on the e-bay as well. It's located about 40 miles away from me. Tried to get the wife into the idea of "his and hers" '65 convertibles. No chance. Seriously, someone had a post on this site or V-8 Buick regarding an old man selling a '65 Wildcat on Long Island a while back. Had photos of the car in the garage. I could swear this is the same car... Did you see the white one for sale on e-bay? Like the white/red combo.
  4. Good deal Ted!!! PM me if you need any more details.... Thanks again! Greg
  5. Ted, You're a life saver! I would need both sides from half way under the front seat up to and including the portion under the rear seat if possible. If that's too large, the section from half way under the front seats up to part where the bottom of the rear seat cusion ends would do. I'll send my phone number by PM if my description is unclear. Thanks!!!!!! Greg
  6. Looking for leads on rust free floor pans for my '65 Wildcat convertible. Tried Desert Dog Auto. They were really nice. At first they thought they had them for me. However, I learned today that the ones they have are rusted out. Anyone know any other sources I could try??? Thanks for your help! Greg BCA #38869
  7. I discovered that the rear floor pans of my '65 Wildcat have sprung holes in the center of the pans. Does anyone know if they make replacements (odds are probably not)???? If not, any leads on finding some solid used ones??? Can I use a set from a coupe or from an Electra since they had the same wheelbase as the Widcats?? A friend of mine owns a body shop and is willing to help me weld them in if I can find a set. Thanks for the help! Greg
  8. Ted, Would you be willing to share the pattern? My '65 has a rather beat up remainder of the cardboard linign for the well area but that's about it. Thanks. Greg
  9. Has anyone purchased parts from this person???? I sent the check for the steering wheel. He was about to send it to me but noticed that the the wheel is missing the plastic inlay in the rim but is otherwise in good shape. Since he was nice enough to notify me of the problem, I asked for photos of the wheel to see the overall condition. I was hoping to continue with the sale. Have not heard anything in over three weeks. He was very quick to communicate in the beginning and seems like a nice guy. Not sure what happened. No photos, no steering wheel. I have nothing but great experiences when buying parts from fellow BCA memebers up to this point. Thanks. Greg
  10. Tom, What color/condition is the steering wheel on the '66? Thanks. Greg
  11. Can you send me a PM with a price for the wheel? Thanks. Greg
  12. What condition is the steering wheel in (I assume that it is black as well)? Does the car have tilt or standard column? Thanks. Greg
  13. Thanks for replying. The fuse came attached to the wire. Perhaps the female plug justs needs to be squeezed as you recommended. I just wanted to make sure that I wasn't missing a piece. I don't smoke, but hopefully I can now charge my cell phone in the car! Thanks again
  14. I have what may be a silly question. I just got a new lighter base for my '65 wcat. The old unit was shot. I noticed that the rear of the lighter base (I believe it's the lighter fuse) has a threaded end. Is there a piece that screws onto the base before hooking up the 12v feed? The wire fits but it seems loose. Am I missing something? Thanks. Greg
  15. Here's the car that fired my love for '65 Wildcat convertibles. This is my parent's car. Midnight blue wth ligh blue top. My parents (yes that is my mother in the photo) were only dating at the tiem. The car belonged to my father/grandmother. My grandmother gave my parents the car in 1972 (the year after I was born) when she bought her '72 Centurion (which later became mine!!! Talk about a buick loving family!). My parents kept the car untikl 1977. I was only 6, but I remember taking our last ride in October with the top down..... I love my '65, but I'll never forget this one. I wonder if its still running. I have the original bill of sale, anyone know if there's away to trace the old VIN's??? Greg
  16. Thanks Ted. Replacing the trim made a big difference. I hope one day it looks as good as your red '65. That one is absolutely gorgeous. After showing her the photo of your car, even my wife is the one pushing me to keep going on our project!!!! How's that for a switch!
  17. Thanks. I liked your '65 as well. The AM/FM radio is a great option! Here's a newer photo I just uploaded
  18. From the album: Buick

  19. Phillip, Here's a photo! I must warn you, it photograph's well. Up close, it's definitely a work in progress. This is before I put on the rallye rims. I'll have to upload a newer photo. Thanks for asking. Greg
  20. According to the Barrett-Jackson website, a '67 Wildcat was auctioned earlier in the week. Any know if they showed the car or how much it sold for?
  21. Just want to thank Ted for coming through with a resistor for my 'Cat. I have heat again! Many thanks! Greg
