  1. Well, it finally happened. The sign(s) have disappeared from the craft centre. Soon the buildings will be gone.
  2. Nic, I have no idea. This was past on to me by another Reatta guy.
  3. just checked it and it works

  6. Eleven Reattas ran at Michigan International Speedway last Saturday (Aug 11) and we all had a great time. I would recommend it to everyone. There are many tracks around the country that would probably let you have a run. Call your local (or one within reasonable driving distance) race track and ask if you can put together a group and run on their track. The most they can say is NO. MIS charged us nothing. It was well worth the admission. Let's get those Reattas out of the garage. Don't forget Flint in 2008.
  7. Just a remind to those who are "thinking" about joining us at Michigan International Speedway on August 11. We need to know ASAP so we can give the track a car count. For details or to sign up, contact Ron or April Gill at 517-420-3302, 517-626-6622 or wwdhms@aol.com
  8. I to would love to have either of the 2 existing "Craft Centre" signs, but it is my understanding that the Signs have been given to the REOlds Transportation Museum. Also there is no other evidence of Reatta's ever having been built there. Even the Signs don't tell you what was built there. Toranado, EV-1, Cavalier convert., Sunbird convert, and the SST were also built in the Craft Centre. There may be some evidence of the SSt left, but I doubt it.
  9. Nick---- don't wait to long to sign up. You can wait until Aug 1st to pay for lunch (if you decide to join us for that part) but to other is limited to 22 Reattas and is on a first come first serve basis.
  10. If anyone wants to run their Reatta(s) on MIS on August 11, please contact us ASAP to reserve a spot in the line-up. We are allowed 22 cars. You can bring a passenger. We did this in June ( 17 cars and 34 people) and everyone had a great time. There is no cost for us to run on the track. We have lunch planned (after the run) at a nearby winery. Cost for that is $15.00 per person (soup or salad, entree, dessert and wine tasting during meal or tea or coke products for those who prefer not to do wine tasting) and it's your choice whether to attend or not. Contact us to sign up or for info at; April and Ron Gill, wwdhms@aol.com or phone 517-626-6622.
  11. Hi Guys, I've only posted once here and here I go one more time. I got the idea of going to MIS last year when a friend told me how they go with their Model A Club. I called and got a date to go and to my disappointment, I was told ONLY 22 cars could go on the track and we could only go around twice. I never thought anyone would come to do this from any farther away than 50 or so miles. This is why I only called those who live around the Lansing area. Well to my surprise some heard about it and wanted to come from out of state and we got to go around five times. I think it's because we can go faster than the Model A's. It was so much fun, that I called the track again Monday and we get to go again on August 11. Again, it can only be 22 cars and we now have 5 that are signed up. Believe me, I don't care where you come from, I just like to have Reatta people get together and have fun. So, if you think you would like to see what it is like to be on a world famous track for a few laps, sign up. I don't care if you are a Club member or not for this, BUT if your not, better join up or you miss all the fun things at BCA. Email me at wwdhms@aol.com. I will plan something else for that day also besides going to the track, but I haven't been home to make some phone calls. Keep safe, April
  12. Barney, I have before me a May 1988 Copy of "WORKING", A paper put out by BOC (GM) and the UAW's Gm Division. On the back page is A red/tan convertible with the crt and an 88 steering wheel, 16 way seats. It was being previewed at a SAE dinner in Bloomfield Hills, Mi I bought it at the RE Olds transportation Museum when we were there during the Reatta Homecoming.
  13. I have put together 2 DVD'S and 1 CD from the Reatta Homecoming. The DVD'S are videos (one is approx 18 minutes, "Reatta-Focus on the future")(one has has 3 videos approx 20 minutes, "Boys of Summer", The Quality Story" (Reatta) and "GM-Then and Now"). The CD has photos I took. The price for all three is $17.00, which includes shipping. To order e-mail me at wwdhms@aol.com
  14. The convert. belongs to Bob Neumann. The other was only at the hotel in the evening.
  15. Randy and Diane----April and I wish we could join you, but work calls in Tenn. Played too much this summer and now have to pay the piper. Hope you guys get a good turn out and have a fun weekend.
  16. I just found a 89 Black/tan (vin #1G4EC11C5KB905588) for sale at Five Star Used Cars (1-888-268-6124) Pittsburg, Pa for $3995.00 with 83,000+ miles on the clock. So I Checked out the vin in the data base and Found it was in Oklahoma in March '06 with 176,000 + miles on the clock. Can anyone explain this to me? Is it possible the put these beauties on a hoist and run them in reverse to lower the odometer that much?
  17. April and I would like to say thanks to all that attended the Homecoming. You are the ones that made it a success. We had 83 Reattas registered, 106 for lunch on Saturday and approximately 125 for the seminar. And what a great gift Geoff Weller suprised us with. His book has so much info in it. Don't ask, there are none left. We are in the process of putting a DVD together. Stay tuned.
  18. If anyone wants photos (group or individual), you can order them from Margaret Hehr. Her e-mail addy is photo4w@sbcglobal.net or call her at 517-337-4929. She a great job following us around for the weekend. Her group shot at our first stop (Dave Sheets collection of Cadillacs) on Friday was really good. She has 2 photos of 2 grey coupes taken at the craft centre that we can't identify the owners. If you're interested in a nice photo of your Reatta at the craft centre, contact her.
  19. I have 7 promo cars for sale @ $30.00 each. Price includes car, "OK to ship" sticker (sticker was attached to windshield after passing final inspection and removed at the dealership) and postage. These promo cars are still in the original box and sealed in plastic. E-mail me at wwdhms@aol.com Thanks, Ron Gill
  20. April and I want to thank all the people that showed up with their beautiful Reattas of the Homecoming event. It is beause of all of you that it was the success it was. And a special thanks to Roberta for keeping our registration/ information post at the top of the forum for so long. Thanks also to the ones that volunteered to help out, especially our 2 daughters, who gave up their weekend for mom and dad. And lastly, thanks to the Reatta Div. for your support.
  21. RGILL

    Who's all going!?

We have 68 beautiful Reattas registered and 101 people coming. For those of you that are registered, drive safely and we'll see you all when you get here. The weather looks like it is going to be "top of the line". April and Ron (aka Mr. April) Gill
  22. Actually the museum has never had a Reatta on display. Another thing you may find interesting is that there will be a supercharged Reatta in attendence.
  23. Talked to the R E Olds Transportation Museum and they will have some Reatta memorialblia laid out For us, when we visit on Friday afternoon, to purchase if we so desire. I have seen what they have and I would say that what they have is probably pretty rare. They have them priced, but still need the boards approval(price wise). On another note, On Friday after the cruise (after 8PM at the AmerihostInn in their breakfast room) we will have a video presentation "Reatta--Focus On The Future" Lasts approx. 19 minutes.
  24. These 2 Reattas, both 91, (one coupe and one convertible, Both white) are the same cars that are on the Reatta logo t-shirts. Coupe has 72K + miles and the conv has 22K + miles. I have not seen these cars. The owner called me in conjunction with the Reatta Home coming. He lives in the area so if any one wants to see them or talk to him e-mail me @ wwdhms@aol.com and I'll pass along what ever info I can. Ron Gill Reatta Homecoming Gofer
