Lowe's Motor Speedway's car shows are the largest of their kind, offering something to please all car enthusiasts.

The two Food Lion AutoFairs, one in April and one in September, encompass four days of car shows, car corrals, parts vendors, a collector car auction and unusual attractions.

At each show, at least 50 car clubs bring more than 2,500 cars for display. The car corral, located on the speedway's 1.5-mile oval, features more than 1,5000 collector vehicles for sale. More than 7,000 vendor spaces guarantee you will break in a new pair of walking shows.

  2. Just curious if anyone has a suggestion for a great set of new tires for my Reatta. I was looking at the Yokohama Avid H4S on www.tirerack.com for $66.00 a piece, in the recommended size of 215/65HR15. Does anyone else have a better choice? I never drive the Reatta in the rain or bad weather so that is not my concern, I am just looking for a performance tire with confort and control.

The tires that i have on now are Goodyear Wingfoot tires (I don't think they even make these anymore, I haven't seen them at all) that are getting old and hard, in fact when I took the Reatta out this weekend I had a bumpy ride until the tires softened up from age and sitting in the garage for two months.

    Thanks.

By the way folks, The second annual Gathering of the Buicks will be held this year again in Lenoir, NC @ the Expo Ctr, site of last year's show.

This year's show is on Sat. June 18th.

  3. Thanks for all the suggestions on affordable insurance, I have requested quotes with all the above suggested insurance companies and hope to get an agreed upon value policy on my 1989 Reatta. I am currently insured by GE insurance that used to be Colonial Penn insurance but after hearing the alternatives I could be saving at least 3-4 hundred dollars a year with collectors insurance.

  4. I definitely agree with Padgett on this. I just replaced my speakers in my 89 Reatta and the cones were separated and the paper that once attached them was more or less just dust that disintegrated with touch. I purchased perfect speakers for the doors from http://www.crutchfield.com that matched up perfectly with the original holes. I used Blaupunkt PCx542. Good luck, it will be nice again to listen to clear crisp music again once you change your speakers.

  5. I was just contacted by the service department manager at Folger's Buick in Charlotte, Norht Carolina. He has a customer that has owned their 1990 Buick Reatta since new and was looking to sell. He said the Reatta was purchased new form the dealership and has been very well maintained. I did not get the color combo however if anyone is interested please contact Roy Hall in the service department @ Folger Automotive Tyvola

  6. It was a great time and we took lunch in Blowing Rock, NC. This is the first time that I atended this event and believe they are planning it again next year but not positive. There were only two Reattas in attendance including mine. Keep checking the board or E-mail Jerry Boden for info. I know that the Carolina division meets every year at the Food Lion auto fair spring and fall @ Lowes Motor Speedway also.

  7. What an impressive poster. What a future the Reatta had they just jumped the gun when they pulled this car. I have talked to dealers years after the pull of the Reratta and they have all said that the Reatta was ahead of it time, they all had 3 times the inquires after the production was stopped then while in production. Remember the Mazda Miata craze? that happened after the Reatta stopped production.
