  1. OEM remote in working condition. Buttons in excellent condition $75. 1989 Owners Manual, excellent condition $25. Reatta rim just professionally refinished, looks beautiful however the Buick script was buffed off during refinish. Would be great for any car not being judged, $45 and I can bring to South Bend. Shipping is added to the prices and I am open to reasonable offers. PM me or email eafarnell@gmail.com.

  2. So Cal vs South Carolina. Gas in So Cal is over $4 per gallon. Temperatures in So Cal are around or over 100 degrees and forest fires are not uncommon. South Carolina gas is $3.04 per gallon, temperatures are between 85 and 95 with nice afternoon rains and forest fires are rare. It is not difficult for me to choose.

  3. If a coupe, it is along the frame rail on the passenger side just about under the footwell. If a convertible it is on the same side, but back near the left rear wheel. Release fuel pressure before disconnecting to keep from getting a face full of fuel.

    Hope this helps.

  4. Eerie, I just got an email TODAY that was signed from Carole! (I had emailed about some Reatta wear.) I didn't know her, but am very sorry to hear of her passing.

Carole's husband, George, is handling the Reatta logo wear for the time being. That is most likely why you got the email. I imagine George has just not changed the signature.

  5. Years ago when I was doing a total restoration on my Austin Healey, I had an old fellow tell me that car wiring harnesses were built with internal smoke and if you ever let that smoke out you were in for trouble. I am confident you need a new IPC. You can purchase a used one or send yours off for rebuild. Either way you are looking at at between $100 and $150 dollars. They are easy to install.

  6. An officer from the Reatta Division should assemble a brief history of this car (i.e. reserach), write an article and submit to the Buick Bugle.

    Ervin,

I am sure that will be done, but probably not by an officer. Barney is the most likely candidate since he already knows a great deal of the history. He also has the contacts at GM to help fill in the blanks. Keep your eye out for the article in a future Bugle.

  7. I have a tan sunvisor clip for sale. It has a small stress crack on the back, but if you secure with the top screw from the back side it will be work perfectly. $43 including postage to the US. Ed Farnell

  8. post-31283-143139116015_thumb.jpgVery rare dealer showroom window trim introducing the 1988 Reatta. This window decal is 4' x 6' and is in the original mailing tube. It was postmarked January 14, 1988 from GM to John Brown Buick in Slidell, LA. It is rolled in protective paper and is in mint condition. Have never seen one before most likely because they were used and discarded. PM me for pictures. Asking $400 or best reasonable offer. Ed Farnell

  9. Not mine Kevin. But I'm thinking of buying the car just for the cup holders :). Exchange the armrest with another tan interior and flip the car. But if it isn't a rust free Reatta, fahgettaboutit!! :)

Seriously, if someone has the means to do this, I'd be his/her first, second and third customer. It's a terrific set-up.

P.S. In judging, how many points would get deducted for such ingenuity?

None for ingenuity. Most likely one or two for authenticity.

  10. I have a couple of complete ones. I am looking for one to go with the Reatta I sold last week. It did not come with one, but I promised to look for one to go with the car. It will have to be a lot less than $500.

  11. I am looking for an owner's portfolio for a 1990 as complete as possible that I can buy for a reasonable price. If anyone has one they would like to sell, please send me a private PM.

I also have a new set of burgundy mats and a NOS set of tan mats for a 90 or 91 if anyone wants a really nice set. PM me for prices.

    Thanks,

    Ed

  12. A lot of talk and not much action. Let's not wait until the last minute to sign up for the meet or the Rendezvous. It takes some planning to put on an event and known numbers are important. The meet is less than a month away and most normal folks should know their schedule by now.
