The are black and look dull but I polished up a small section and it is very shinny. What I need is the smoked plastic cover that goes over the heat and A/C temp read out. It is about 2 inches square and covers fan speed, air flow and exterior temp and interior temp settings. The 95 appears to be different, but the latter ones may be OK. Thanks, Bob MOcarGuy@aol.com

1971 Boattail Riviera, the 71 is the most desirable of the Boattails because of its uncluttered sculptured lines and louvered decklid. This 62000 mile original was purchased out of an estate where it sat in storage for over 23 years, it had 58381 miles in August 1981 before it was put away. It has been stripped down and refinished in original exclusive Riviera color # 70 Beige pearl,it is a very light very metalic gold in base coat clear coat it is a knock out. The doors, floors and quarters are solid. The car has not been smoked in, and the interior is perfect, except for a very minor wear on carpet where driver exited. The trunk area has spare that has never been down, and the trunk shows very little wear. All the chrome is excellent, rear bumper has been rechomed and it is gorges Buick Ralleys are all very good, with new center caps. Equipment all works including clock, AM 8 Track, rear defogger, power door locks, power windows, power bench seat, O/S right mirror and updated A/C. Engine compartment is nice, has new valve cover gaskets, (interior of engine is so clean you could eat out of it)carb rebuilt, new fuel pump, water pump, radiator,hoses, belts,plugs, cap, brake pads,gas tank sending unit and compete exhast system. IS YOUR PROBLEM THE WINDOW DOES NOT GO DOWN BECAUSE THE MOTOR IS BAD OR MORE COMMON PROBLEM IS THE STRAP IS BROKEN? IF IT IS THE STRAP A REPLACEMENT IS AVAILABLE, IT IS A CHRYSLER PART BUT WITH SLIGHT MODIFICATION IT WORKS.
