  2. The molding has plastic clips holding it on, I think you need to remove or at least loosen the wheel house molding abit 1st. Slide a clean Thin paint scraper between molding and paint on bottom side and slide a screw driver between the molding and the scaper to gentlly pry off. You will have to slide the the scraper a bit to release all the clips, there are 3 or 4. The clips will either release from the molding or comme out of the slots in the fender, easy does it!!! It would be a good idea to grease the scraper a little bit to protect paint

I would like to find a good used one, I missed a NOS one for $350 that would have been a good deal. I'm a least 4 months away from really needing one, something might show up. 20. I just found a 1 owner 66 Fairlane 500 with 55K ( and looks like it)Bronze color, no vinyl roof, nice body, good paint, good glass, rear bumper needs rechrome. It has a 390 V8, Auto, hang on A/C, buckets and console. The wheels have a full wheel cover painted body color. I bad news is it has been sitting in a garage for 15+ years (1989 tags) and the top of carb. is off (looks like all parts there)the old man that owns car from new said it ran good (so why is the carb. apart, there is a coil sitting there too). My question is what is this car worth? High and Low. How desirable is this car? Right now it is a pig in a poke. What should I look for on this car. One more thing on both rear quarters there is a air intake, it is about 1 inch high and about 6 inches long it is connected to a box in the trunk (4 x 4 or so) with a hole on top, what is that? MOcarGuy@aol.com 317 856 8666 I'm going away 6-3-07 thru 6-7-07
  21. I see those windows advertised all the time, sometimes it is the only thing left on the car worth keeping, shipping would be a bigger problem. These rear windows are tempered glass and hard to break with a hammer, just cut rubber seal evenly and make sure to get cut all the way around and it should just lift off, best bet take to shop that does windshield replacement, have them remove, take it home and repair rust, clean up the whole area where glass goes and take back to shop and have it reinstalled. I have done this a couple of times. Just protect the glass when it is out of the car, thats when it can be broken.
  22. Hi, ED, No trades, thank you. Well maybe a Riviera, It has a dark red cloth interior. If it does not sell here at home I plan to take it to NC, it will sell there I'm sure. The car is very sharp. The problem is to find a way home. Bob
