  1. When I took that drive out to Byron I heard some humming and had a vibration coming from the rear of the car. It got louder on my way back home.

To make my life easier working on my cars I purchased a quickjack from Costco and assembled it last weekend and have already put it to good use.

Pulled the rear Passenger side axle and found this,

Wonder if this was causing the humming and vibration. The gear oil is pretty dark. Will pull the diff cover and give it a good cleaning.

  2. Thought I would start a thread on a 1969 GTO I purchased back in November of 2019.

To date I have replaced upper and lower ball joints, Control arm bushing, Coil springs front and back, had the original Harrison radiator recored.

Typical tune up parts, plugs, plug wires, distributor rotor, point and condenser and cap.

    Hood hinges and springs.

    Had the Quadrajet Carburetor rebuilt.

    New BF TA tires installed.

Replaced some of the dash lights with Leds.

    Upgraded the Exhaust system

  3. Hello,

I am looking for a fuel pump rebuild kit for my 1931 Packard.

I sent  out phones calls and emails to three different companies with no responses.

Does anyone here have a go to company for fuel pump rebuild kits?

    Thanks

    Tom

  4. I am dealing with that right now. Had the Packard out the other day and as I was pulling off main road and only a few house anyway from home the left rear tire went flat. Pulled tire and found the cable stem leaking at point where it is valcanzined to the tube.

Called the place where I purchased the tires (back in 2013) and no luck they don't have the tube in stock. Called the parent company same thing and with no eta when they will be getting them.

Called Lucas today only type they had in stock which has the rubber stem (I need the one with brass stem). I ordered the rubber stem anyways since I like the get the Packard out again. Been almost 5 years since the last time I had it out of the garage.

Another issue I am having is trying to have businesses to call me back to let me know if they have a rebuild kit for the fuel pump. Called and emailed three different places.

    If interested let me know.

Just like the other items I have posted not sure of value if any

  6. Good Morning All,

Was going through the garage attic to do some winter cleaning and came across a box of magazines.

I am willing to part with these if anyone is interested in them.

I also have two boxes full of Packard Magazines

AACA Magazines from roughly starting from 2000ish to present

Picture below is a sample of want I have

Price would be free but you would have to pick up. As we know shipping could get pricey

That’s a great helper,  we all need a laid back friend.

That picture was taken back in 2017 a few months before we had to lay him down to rest. I miss him dearly.

And yes he was a very laid back 85 pound diabetic lab and white shepard little pup.

When I would be out in the garage working on the Packard he would be standing by the back door crying to be out there with me. Would drive my wife nuts.
