It sounds like you won't have what I need, but I will list anyway.
I am interested in the trim that goes on the floorboards, and the rear foot rest mechanism. I think that they are all aluminum.
Any one else have these items? My guess is that all the years around these would be good for what I need.
Thanks,
-
What do you have? Where are you located?

Here is the attachment pic of the trany. The shift tower is POR15 black top coat over the regular POR15.
-
This engine on my Studebaker, was done with 2 POR15 coats as primer, and Bill Hirsch paint on the top. Whats not to like with the Bill Hirsch paint?
-
Are you talking pre WWI?

Hi,
Are you the friend of Richard that called me yesterday? Or are you looking for the '37 stuff for yourself?
-
Woodgrained means that the metal is "painted" (actually more complicated)to look like it is wood.

I have a set of front and back rechromed bumpers for the Commander for sale. But they are the split rear bumpers for a rear spare type car.

Sorry it took me so long to post this pic, but I couldn;t find where I had it. I live near Allentown, so I bought this advertisement a few years ago when I saw it. From what I had heard, it was one of many "assembled" trucks that were available in those days.
Enjoy.

Thanks for the replies. I have had some 6 volt positive ground LEDs made up for my old Studebakers, which were also positive ground. Since I had to have more than I need made up, it is nice to know what else they fit.
-
Could someone let me know when Ford stopped using 6 volt Positive ground?

I was on that tour too, it was quite the place. Extremely well done. Sorry but I have no information on your car to add.
-
Also your carb should be a Stromberg EX-23. I am not sure what a BXV-2 fits.
-
No reason to swap carbs. Studebaker used the same carb on the Dictators in 1935, 1936 and 1937. They also used it on the '37 Coupe Express. Dave had one that was rebuilt that I saw a couple of weeks ago. Give him a call.

If your seats are missing, I know someone that may be able to help you out.
I can send his email by email, but you didn't register your email or attach it to your post.

Beautiful. That car may be the finest resurrection of a junk car that I have ever seen! Looking at the original picture .. I am at a loss for words. To start with so little, and end up with a superb Studebaker.

This place has reprints for the Light Six. Give them a call.

If it was the Studebaker one, $35 is real cheap. Even pretty junky ones go for more than 10X that!
-
Contact Sandy Olson. He is even a Studebaker guy!

Thanks to all for the help. I was finally able to get the fit ok, by using two turnbuckles together, and extending all the way from one corner to the other. Not perfect, but very nice.

Jay,
Thanks for the comment. What not to do is as important as what to do!
Beautiful car, by the way.
Plating kits... anyone tinkered with plating?

I have been using the Caswell Plateing kits for Flash Copper, Acid Copper and Nickel for about 6 months now. I also use Eastwood's Zinc kit for more than a couple of years. Probably I have done more than 200 small parts. These parts are for my '22 Studebaker, so I don't need to do chrome. The parts in the pic are for the windshield.
There is alot of work involved in doing home plating. Depending on the part, the steps might include: stripping, grinding, flash copper, acid copper, soldering, replating, sanding, polishing again, and finally nickel.
Zinc is MUCH easier.
I am sure my results are as good as a commercial shop. Would I do it for a living... no. Would I do it for a friend's car....no.
But there is a certain satisfaction on doing it for your own car.
