1. I've received this numerous times, and have deleted them quickly without opening them....thank goodness for that!! I figured that it was a virus.
If anyone gets a "worm" virus, Norton Anti-Virus web site offers 2 worm *.exe programs that you can download and run for free that will check your system and destroy any worm. One of the programs rebuilds the damage done to MS-Explorer- this one can be downloaded from the Microsoft site also.
There's some real insidious creeps out there. frown.gif" border="0

 2. Glad that you're alright Bry!
It is amazing that they would "total" a car that looks mostly undamaged. Of course we can't see the underside damage. Unibody construction, AND a convertible! Oi! shocked.gif" border="0
Good Luck!

 3. Uncivilized,
The cruise-in spot in Virginia Beach is the Giant square Shopping Center off of Independence BLVD every Saturday night 4-9:30pm. They have clubs covering most of the nights, but otherwise it's open to anyone and any car that you want to display for $1.00.

 4. It's a good idea, and certainly about time to join the rest of the Union, but my guess is that they could find more important things to repair in PA- like the roads and bridges for example! The public affairs guys are in control and they're putting on the dressing....check out our Virginia-like public relations-web-site license plates. I agree with the previous comments that they should have done this mileage change 40 years ago! rolleyes.gif" border="0

 5. I have a few used parts from my 70 Electra. If anyone is interested, email me at jaxops@bellatlantic.net
-LH FRONT DOOR WINDOW MOTOR (GOOD WORKING CONDITION).
-DASHBOARD CLOCK (NOT RUNNING).
-REAR LH/RH ASHTRAY CHROME ASSEMBLIES (window controls, lighter- the whole deal, not for the convertible model though) See http://members.bellatlantic.net/~jaxops/carparts.htm)
- 69-70 LESABRE WHEEL COVERS (4) excellent condition).
-ELECTRA nameplates and rear quarter rear side light lenses.

 6. As a fellow Pennsylvanian, I concur with the above statements. I had to submit a set of photos to the PA State Police as well as Rick Hoover mentioned earlier. They are interested in factory condition, safety, operability, and to avoid issuing classic and antique plates to modified vehicles. be patient, PA is world-renown for its' oversized beaurocracy, but you can prevail with the right documentation.
Good luck! cool.gif" border="0

 7. Well it was barbecue time in southeastern Virginia. We cooked up barbecued chicken, burgers, and an Italian sweet sausage with barbecued peppers and onions. Then we watched the fireworks at Mount Trashmore, and set off sparklers and fountain-sparklers in the driveway (while listening to the "Knucklehead family" up the street "dynamiting" the street with M-80s).
The classic car stayed in the garage but was uncovered for guests to view at the BBQ. cool.gif" border="0

 8. You might try the Netherlands and Germany where American iron is VERY popular. I just returned from Germany, and, despite high gas prices, there are a lot of car shows, and old American cars are well represented along with Ferrari, BMW, and other Euopean makes.
Good luck.

 9. Ease up there Tomsriv! He has a point about safety versus vanity. I don't belive that he means factory issued headlamp covers from the 60s or earlier, he means alterations from factory specs, which we have all seen, including darkened out license plates, lights, and windows.
Factory specs or not, if it reduces safety or is illegal in your state, I would recommend using them while parked at the car show only.
The point that unregistered user is saying is that there's only one of you, and if we lose you in an accident, there is no replacement.
Safe classic car driving Friends. cool.gif" border="0

 10. To extemporate on that- There is a VW parts place in California that makes VW Bus leather wheel covers. Surprisingly, they are of excellent manufacture, all leather, and the tight stitch goes on the inside of the wheel. It comes with the curved needle and heavy-duty thread. My 70 Electra has about the same size wheel and it really came out looking nice. I found them on the InterNet with a search for leather steering wheel covers.
Just another alternative that was inexpensive and easy to do (well- yes my wife stitched it up as she was better at it). cool.gif" border="0

 11. The show had approximately 75 cars, mostly "souped-up" cars (modified). Tidewater Region AACA had 3 cars and four members there, with the Mustang Club having 3-4 classics attending.
The most important result was that the faculty advisor was a car-guy, and started this club for the students. The students were interested in the older cars as well, and many had bever seen a '32 Lincoln.
It's a start- hot-rods and modified cars in high school could result in a love for the hobby in general. Support these initiatives whenever you can! cool.gif" border="0

 13. Tallwood High School on Kempsville RD, Virginia Beach, VA is having their first car show, sponsored by a teacher and his students. This will start 08:00 am, 27 MAY 2001.
This is a grand opportunity for us to bring our cars over and sign up some new members. Don't sit back and say, "someone else will go" because they won't....and our AACA/BCA regional clubs will fade away like the G.A.R.
Don't miss it- you know you'll have fun because you get to talk to young people about CARS!
cool.gif" border="0
