  2. Cecil Don was not only Mr. Buick - he was a Mr. NICE GUY!!! . We go thru life meeting a lots of people - Cecil was one that you would never forget. He had a great smile and many stories of his travels with his Buicks. It would always be my pleasure to visit with Him at the BCA Nationals and talk about His activities the prior year. We have lost a Dear Friend and supporter of our hobby but the fond memories will be there forever. See you at the Big Buick Meet Cecil! Dick Sweeney

  3. One thing I wanted to mention is just because someone has been working on engines for years does not make him/her a rebuilder of Nailhead Engines. When I have work done I ask the rebuilder first thing "Do you work on Nailheads" and if he says Whats that? I go to the next guy. 12 Degrees is way to high! Even high now days for the Gran Sport Engines that called for 12 when new and we could get the gas to support it. I would get a second opinion - could be vac. leak on intake manifold or a number of other problelms. I would tell the rebuilder to either fix it or you will find someone that will and he will end up paying the bill - thru court if needed. Good Luck. Dick Sweeney

  4. Put the thing back together and seal with permatex if you cant break it loose. One of two things will happen. #1 If will be fine and end of story. #2 It will leak and you will need to pull the pump - next pull the timing gear cover and bring the cover to a machine shop and have them drill and tap. While they are removing the remains of the bolt you can check the timing gear and chain and replace if needed. You will need a big socket for the balancer bolt 1 Inch? and a long bar or pipe to get it loose. You will need to get a gear cover gasket set. Any other questions - rivsrus1@cox.net

  5. Can someone give me the basic measurments on the center consolette that came with the bucket seat option in the 61 Invicta. With the lid open if you can measure the width, heighth and length of the box itself it would be much appriciated. Thanks, Dick at rivsrus1@cox.net smile.gif" border="0

  6. No need to remove the dash. Remove the pass. seat and that will help-gives you some room. You need to drop the evaporator to get to the Heater Core. You can replace the vac lines without removing anything else.Best to do one at a time with one guy in the car and another working the Eng. compartment.
