  1. Lets face it folks, I ate in the tent as well and it was one step above Jack in the Box. Thats all you can expect for a meet this large. This was a once in a lifetime deal and lets not complain about the food. I would agree that it lacked the personality of a National but It was one of a kind!

  2. I just called - got the recording ( 10 AM Texas Time)- they will call me back. That is fine when you are home all day and have nothing better to do then to wait for a phone call. I could leave the cell number but dont really want to get involved with dates and Credit Card Numbers while on the freeway. Perhaps there is a time when there is someone live to answer the phone.

  3. I just found out that if you want to make reservations for any of the Hotels listed in the Bugle for Plano 2004 you must use the following number - 1-800-81-PLANO . That would include the Harvey Hotel (host) , Holiday Inn,Best Western,LaQuinta Inn,The Ramada Limited and Motel 6 . The only problem is what time you call I guess. I just called and got a recording. Perhaps they work 9-5 - I will try tomorrow. The Hotels will not take the reservations. Good Luck

  4. I will be presenting Beth Badgerow with a check for $ 1,070.00 on the 20th or 21st of this month. WOW! You have done a GREAT JOB guys and gals. I think there will be a few late checks that come in and I will send that money to Beth at a later date. I hope to get a picture of the presentation and Sean is going to do an article on Doug. in an upcoming issue of the Review. Many thanks again - You have been and will continue to be Rewarded! God Bless - Dick Sweeney

  5. Hi Guys and Gals! Just got an email from Doug's wife and she seems to be doing better. She is using Doug's email address and asked that I pass on to the list that she is available there if anyone wants to chat.I am going to present to her a check on the 21st so if you have procrastinated on sending in your pledge please do so. Its just going to take a little more help to get to the Thousand Dollar Mark. Beths email address is - 72boattail@cox.net Thanks a million for all your help. Dick Sweeney ROA # 146

  6. I can only comment on the Riv. but the info might work on your car as well. In the back of the 64 Manual there is a line drawing of a Tach sitting on top of the dash under the rear view mirror and to the left side of the speaker edge between the speaker and the rear edge of the dash. I have mounted them there. I have also utilized the pre existing holes (in the metal framework under the dash pad) for the Guidematic - that works very well also. If the dash pad is original and brittle you run a big risk of splits when you cut the holes for the tach. Why have a Tach. - because they look COOL!

  7. Fund Update. Today I went to the bank and opened an account in the name of Doug Badgerow Memorial Fund. If you have sent checks in my name it will be ok. If you haven't sent a check yet - please make it payable to "Doug Badgerow Memorial Fund" and still to my address - Dick Sweeney 2955 Oliveview Rd. Alpine Calif. 91901 Use my email address of rivsrus1@cox.net Thank You, Dick

  8. I am sad to say Doug Badgerow from Arizona passed away yesterday . Doug has been a true friend and parts provider for many of us and he will be missed! He has had more then his share of ill health but he still managed to work hard for us car buffs. For those who were close to Doug I have started a fund to help with Beths expenses during these difficult times. If you care to help please send a check to Dick Sweeney 2955 Olive View Rd. Alpine Calif. 91901 = Anything will be appriciated - any questions please contact me at rivsrus1@cox.net Thank You. Dick Sweeney

  9. You can go thru the car as posted or thru the firewall - If it is done right there is no problem going thru the fire wall and it is a lot easier. The advantage of doing it the factory way - inside - is that you get to check out other parts of the system, lube and such. The disadvantage is you run the risk of breaking parts. The advantage with going thru the firewall is that it is easier and more trouble free. If it is done right no one can tell it was done that way. It does involve cutting a little bit of the metal behind the heater cover but when you put the cover back on everything is covered.Your choice. I have done it both ways. Both works well - one is a little harder then the other - a lot depends on how your age. If you can bend around like a pretzel - the interior is not bad. Email me direct if I can be of further help. rivsrus1@cox.net

  10. Help! Need an ID on an Intake Manifold - 4 Bl. Nailhead - should be 58-61 Range - I checked Buick.net - no luck - the casting number is 1173313 . Its stamped on top of the intake in front of the carb. - not hard to find. Please respond to Dick at rivsrus1@cox.net . Thanks in Advance for looking!

  11. I need a small emissions part that came on Calif. cars only in 1961 and perhaps 62. I will be going North On IS 5 next month and I am looking for some good yards along the way that may have 61 Invicta or Electra parts. I will be going all the way from San Diego to Oregon so if you know of some good yards please email me with the info. Dick at rivsrus1@cox.net Thank you!
