  1. Greetings - I recently purchased some photos of the former James Melton 1908 Locomobile Type I. This is the car he bought in 1938 in a nearly as-new state having never received coachwork (having belonged to the Sessions family). Melton sold the car in 1958 to Joseph K. Ott of Rhode Island who then went on the Glidden tour that year...See two photos attached. It appears that it sold through Christies in 1994. Curious if anyone knows where it is, or has recent pictures. Fabulous car and story...
  2. February, 1913. Pierre duPont and family leaving for a trip between France and Italy. Appears to be a very rare 1913 Delaunay-Belleville O6 45/50. Notice the dual rear tires and headlights... Photo from the Hagley digital archive
  3. There are a number of interesting early photographs on Hagley's archive site. I've just scratched the service but here are a few. The Pierce Arrow service truck might be the winner? The photos with the mud and ruts were around the time of the DuPont highway c. 1915
  4. Mrs. Elsie Cassatt Stewart and her 1916 Owen Magnetic with Victoria hood. Photograph is dated February of 1917...with likely her driver in the substantial winter coat. Most likely taken outside of Philadelphia.
  5. @CT Car Guy Greetings CT Car Guy - This Silver Ghost is owned by a friend of mine, and I'm wondering if you'd be willing to share some info on when you visited it in storage? I'm pleased to report that it has been fully recommissioned and it running (and looking) great. I can also share with you some photos of the car from the 1950's. If you can message me, that would be great.
