  1. Hello Guys, I am not aware that the DeSoto SA used that head light rim but everything including the headlight bar matches a 1930 DeSoto CF-8. If this image is from New Zealand that would make sense for they imported quite a large number of CF-8 DeSoto cars into New Zealand.
  2. Hello Jalopy, Instead of changing the motor to a piece of jap shit just sell the car and purchase a model A Ford where you can buy everything done for you. Have some balls and learn more about the car and where suppliers are before you destroy a piece of American automotive history. As for wood in the body, Redwood would be the worst you could use. Originally they used Ash, any bits in the floor that were plywood should be replaced with "Marine Plywood". Any solid wood in the floor I would use Oak.
  3. Hello 31Jalopy, Chrysler Corporation never published a Shop Manual, the best you can do is a "1931 Plymouth model PA Instruction Book.
  4. Hello 31Jalopy, Your car is a ROADSTER !! A convertible coupe has roll-up windows in the doors.
