On my 65, it is Accessory(rear defrost) - left, Courtesy - center, Antenna - right.

Brian, your 2 switches should say Courtesy and Antenna.

Ok , thanks. Just wanted to make sure I run the dizzy vacuum to the correct port on my Edelbrock AVS 2 carb.
-
Does our dizzy - 401 Wildcat - have "timed vacuum", or full vacuum at idle?

Ok, so it looks like the PS64 switch is the same 1/8th X 27 thread pitch as the block, so I shouldn't need an adapter. I'm also going to order a PT139 Original GM 3 way oil pressure switch connector pigtail. Should make installation easier. Thanks all for your advices.

There is also a conector wire between the 2 halves of the steering coupler. This could also be broken.

Ok, so my new Edelbrock Thunder series AVS 2 carb should be here today. It has an electric choke. In my search, i see that Ed recommended a PS 64 switch from Standard Motor Products. Is this the right switch? Has anyone used this switch with success? Also, did you have to use an adapter for the Wildcat block. This is a 401 block.

I know it's going to take time, because I said a bad word....."POSI"..... That alone may cause me to come back to this post three years from now.

If the carriers for 64/65, that fit a 3.23 ring gear are interchangeable, then that's what I need. I have a 64 axle assembly in my 65.

Hi, I'm looking to purchase a Posi carrier/pumpkin for a 3.23 diff equpped 64 axle assembly. This is for my 65 Riviera. If anyone has one, please let me know condition and price. Thanks.

I believe that 63 and 64 are 1 key, while 65 is 2 keys.
-
Swede, that's what I have. So since other parts on this car are from a 64, the ignition lock is prolly from a 64 also.
-
Well it looks like my 65 also has the earlier style ignition switch. I also have acc/lock/off/on/start. With one of those fancy decorative keys you find advertised. Of course , it doesn't match the door lock.

Yes. The part number for the converter is a Hughes number. It's based on their 9" converter which is made a little longer, and stalled at 2k rpm.

He has 2 options for the 200R4. One is the adapter plate system, the other is an actual bellhousing which mounts to the a plate, which bolts to the pump housing. This is after you cut off the original bell housing. It requires a specific torque converter from hughes, which costs $540.
I was able to purchasae an already built 200R4 for $450. I'm just getting all of the pieces together.

No worries, I'm going with Russ' bellhousing. I'm just waiting for him to get back to me about the mounting plate. He sold the last one he had a couple of weeks ago. The guy he gets them from, sold the last three that he was supposed to be saving for Russ. The customer is sending it back to Russ, so he can send it to his machinist. I'm hoping he can make more. Hopefully cheaper too! 🙂

Thanks Steve. It is actually a great help. Based on my picture and your info, you can see that this axle assembly is either a 63 or 64. The dash number would prolly tell me that. This confirms that the axle is not original to my car, as I have a 65.
Next question: Is there any difference between the 1st gen axle assemblies?
-
So does anyone have an idea as to what the dash number, and the"70" mean?
-

Thanks Ed. I found them. I ran across this guy last year. I've seen these pics. That Eelco adapter is no longer available.
-
Ed, I just came across this post. I just purchased a built 200R4, and i'm acquiring parts. Your pics don't show up, do you still have them?
-
Thanks Tom. It just doesn't seem to be pushing against anything. I will continue looking.
heat riser in manifold.

Ok, I have a quick question about the heat riser system in the stock intake manifold. I'm switching to an Edelbrock AVS 2 carb. It doesn't have the heat riser channel which corresponds to the channel on the intake manifold. I remember on a thread, that someone who was no longer using the heat riser channel had them blocked off. Was this done in the manifold, or in the head?
Also, is there an aftermarket replacement intake manifold for the Wildcat engine?
