When I lost brakes on this car going into my garage I ran into the back of my 40 ford coupe pushing it into my 46 Ford doing damage to both Fords, the damage on the 55 was to the Dagmar on the pass side. My 40 is a street Rod I have had 51 years , it went under the 46 Ford bumper getting into the drivers side front fender. I was not a happy camper. I have been working on the 55 for 2 years hope have it done by May if everything goes well , I sure hope so. Thanks for the interest, SID

Need to know how to remove and repair the felt on the flipper on my 55 century 2 door hardtop ? How does the felt material install on both sides. I know a lot of you have done this please advise me on how to do. Thank You---SID

Here is a pic of my 55 Buick Century that I am restoring , bought it 2 years ago it look better than it was, have gutted the interior and doing all new wiring ,completed a total brake rebuild every thing has been changed in the brake department. All chrome has been or is being done , new paint, all new exhaust , new steele window rubber. There is a lot more to this rebuilt like when It was unloaded off the trailer and put is my garage and the next day backed car out my garage to clean up and on driving car back in to the garage the brakes failed and I ran into 2 other cars and did $ 9.000 damage. My luck has not been good with this car, hope it gets better with this rebuild. SID

Need this part for my 55 Buck Century it fits where the front door window channel meets the top end of its travel at the vent window it looks like a window stop to me? Do any of you know if this available? Thanks , SID

Packick, thanks for the pics, I called Steele and they are sending me another one , they said they have had trouble before will make sure the one they send is to specks and they are going to make it a foot longer, the one I had seemed to be a bit short. Thanks to all, SID

I am trouble installing trunk seal on my 55 Buick Century, when installed the trunk does not close tight enough it makes the trunk higher when it is closed, the seal is bought from steele Rubber product's, can someone send me a picture of how the seal is to be installed and what it looks like when installed on the trunk. I have a 55 Century that I just rebuilt the brakes on, every thing is new all the lines and drums shoes, wheel cylinders and power brake booster and master cylinder. the power unit and master cylinder kit are what I bought from Bobs Automobila in Calif, Phone 805-434-2963. Its easy install and works great fits right where my old unit fit under car comes with brake lines all ready made. You might give them a call I would recommend it. SID

I need to buy the hot air heater duct flex hose that goes from the heather box on firewall down the pass side fender for my 55 Century. Does anyone know where I can buy? and what size to buy? Thank you , Sid

Everything at the wheels is new hoses, springs wheel cylinders, brake shoes, so I think I can eliminate that as part of the problem , the fellow I bought the car from told me he paid a firm in Oregon $600.00 to rebuilt the power unit and master cylinder but told after I bought the car he was not happy with results. I have bought all new stainless brake lines .I believe there is something amiss internally in the unit? There seems to be different units available to replace this old style unit , have any of replaced this unit with something else, if so what? Thanks for all of feed back.

I am wanting to know if any of you have had to have your power brake booster replaced or rebuilt if you had it rebuilt who can you use in the Midwest or east coast? I've had all kinds of problem with mine and I need to do something to fix, either replace it with one Bobs Buick sells or rebuilt the one on the car, it was supposed to have been rebuilt before I bought the car . The problem with mine I cant seem to adjust it where the brake will not drag and make the brake light stay on. I have installed new brake shoes and new wheel cylinders and new brake kits on each wheel. I take car out for short drive come back stop car no brake lite on wait a minute or so and the light comes on. I have replaced brake light switch, I've adjusted the rod to the booster like the Buick shop manual, it is got me at my wits end and I need help. SID
