  1. Sorry Roberto, just reading your post. Mail me to cirrus001@yahoo.de.
  2. Hi there, maybe you remember the Seagrave 1919 speedster project? Well....it is so far barreling down the road. I need some help with my F6 T head engine: Does anybody know a supplier for 6 connecting rods? Here some footage with Unicorn Invictus : http://unicorninvictus.hönack.com
  3. Also looking for 6 connecting rods for f6 seagrave motor. Who manufactures them?
  4. Trying to complete my Seagrave F6 Thead engines history. Anybody knows when Seagrave started production of this 1013 cci engine? Somewher read it was 1910.
  5. How is it going with your project? Fortunately I had the chance to finish mine. Spend wonderful moments on the road now. Please keep usposted with your improvements.
  6. Another link showing the speedster on the Queretaro Mx race track with pure sound of the Seagrave F6 T Head engine
  7. Here the T6 T head engine test run, thunder and fire in a mesmerizing orchestra
  8. Here a link to a video about the speedster metamorphosis. I hope you enjoy it: https://youtu.be/KVlB7dOnk8M
  9. Lately I have been thinking the same. One good project takes years. Mine 7 since I started watching a mesmerizing video about big engine speedsters. Since few days it is mecanically finished. Track tests concluded and my wife happy that from now on I come into the living room without a gas perfumed black greased face. I am delighted to have decided to build a speedster. Am 60 and will take care of it for a hopefully long time. I would not start another project of this size... unless....oh, never mind.... Be safe and enjoy while we can. Life flies by!!

  11. october 2020. It is done!! Unicorn Invictus made its first test on the Queretaro race track in México 83 km and a max speed of 100 km/h. It is exiting to see it run after 3 years and 3000 hoyurs of passionate designing and work.
  12. April 2020, time goes and improvements fill the records. Up to today I have rebuilt the speedster and will to running tests in the next weeks. It has been a wonderful job with lots of exiting adventures. Here some pics
  13. Time is short nowdays and trying to invest every free minute in the speedster. Wheels will be cast aluminum and hope they will run. Engine will be ready for kickstart in february,
  14. August 2019... The project becomes more and more reality, dozens of parts remanufactured and repaired. Now it comes to reposition the engine and control gear. I could lower the steering shaft down to the angle I find best by moving the engine about 15 cm back. steering gearbox and carburetor had a space conflict, so I turned the carb 180 deg. Seat, steering wheel and gear shafts repositioned. After looking for more than one year for rims it turns out that we will remanufacture the rims in aluminum cast. Wood molds are being made at the moment. This is a major improvement as I prioritize of using the original wood wheels. I dismantled the engines carter and found a beautiful cathedral of cylinders and pistons in an outstanding condition. The art of casting the aluminum block is surprisingly perfect. The Seagrave engineers were amazing in r&d. Taking notice that this F6 T head was designed 1910 it surprises with advanced technology for those days. This journey into the past of our automobile history is mindblowing.
  15. Wow! What a good advice! This is a dream of a solution!! Thank you!!
  16. It has been some time but I start to see some small improvement in the speedsters shape. Here some recent pics.
  17. Hi there, my Seagrave gearbox is leaking oil from the shifting shafts. I did not recognize this when I overhauled it and now am not able to take the shaft junctions appart to adapt a seal... How can I seal it now? I appreciate a hint.
  18. Thank you for sharing your story. Stay on, time is not relevant but health and life is. Love to hear about your project, as mine is getting ito a decisive stage. There is still some work to do on the body design like moving the radiator back over the front axle.... but the project is so much fun and pleasure, so I enjoy and let it be a neverending story.
  19. Hello Marc, doyou have some actual pics? You should have some improvements after 1,5 years Id love to see. karsten
  20. Thank you Terry! Fantastic explanation and work you have done here.
  21. Starting to do maintenence on the F6 engine I discovered that some valve guides are burned. One valve has a 3 mm long fracture on the shaft. Does somebody have information about the valve guide material and if the fracture is to be considered to become a valve failure, breaking appart?
  22. The bigger sprocket is a new part manufactured and hardened on the older ones basis. No weldings as it is a security part that transmits the brake power from the drums installed on the same drive shaft.
