  1. Do you have a photo of the interior of the headlight to see the condition, the clips, socket, etc.? Thx
  2. I need one good headlight bucket and rim for my 1927 Model T. I need the type that mounts on the cross bar that connects the fenders. I've included some pictures of what I am looking for. Thanks.
  3. Thanks. I checked with several other vendors but they are sold out. I'll check your recommendations and maybe I will have better luck.
  4. Looking for a pair of clamps with wing nuts that attach the top bow to the windshield stanchions on my '27 roadster. I understand that '23-'27 are all the same. Thx, Richard
  5. You might look at Andy Bernbaum's website as a start to see prices/availability for engine parts. Most everything to rebuild the engine should be available. There are other vintage mopar vendors too. Of course a big part of the cost of the engine rebuild will depend on how much machine work your block needs (bored, decked, valve job, etc.). The vendors also have reprints of repair manuals and parts books. I don't recall having to remove the grill to remove the radiator on my '36 coupe which should be very similar. It is a tight fit though and you may have to remove the water pump. Good luck with your project.
  6. Is that a right hand drive box? My 1930 Studebaker Dictator has the same box but is a mirror image. Even has the same patent date. Probably fits other Studebakers from the late 20's to early 30's.
  7. Just sent this to a fellow in Tennesee who also has one of these and hopes to make one good one out of the two. A quick check of the Nash Car Club of America site indicates there is a grand total of 7 1921 Nash's in existence. Hopefully it fits other applications. Thanks for all the replies on this unusual vacuum tank.
  8. I have a Stewart vacuum tank that I understand was used on 1921 and perhaps other early Nash 4 cyl cars. It is Model 143A. I posted pictures of it on the What is it Forum. Any early Nash owners in need of this vacuum tank?
  9. Excellent! At least we know that 1921 Nash's used this tank. Maybe others, including trucks/industrial applications as has been suggested. Thanks!
  10. Thanks for the info. Its interesting that such a large company that produced so many tanks for so many makes/models of cars and trucks, and gave the tanks serial numbers, would not have produced an application catalogue with model info that would have survived to today.
  11. Thanks for looking. Maybe someone will have some info on it.
  12. I have a Stewart Warner Model 143A Vacuum Tank and I would like to know what makes, models, years used this tank. Thanks.
  13. Sorry the pics didn't make it the first time. Here they are.
  14. Anyone recognize this electric clock? It has a faded "Pine Cone" looking image on the inner glass face. Could this clock have been used by Hudson? The clock has a rear mounted stem for setting the time so I believe it is an earlier, maybe 1930's clock. It has a serial number 571267 but I have not found any serial number reference guides for Borg clocks. One of the mounting ears is bent over and it is missing one of the nuts for the wire terminals, but looks otherwise complete.
  15. Looking for a good used tan canvas top boot for my 1930 Model A Standard Roadster. My top is a Labaron-Bonney tan top I believe, so looking for a similar boot. Unfortunately, I understand L-B is out of business.
  16. Thanks for the tip. Reminds me I need one of the plates too. I hope to find some wedges at the Tulare swap meet in April.
  17. Thanks. Yes I considered that and would certainly be cheaper if I only had the sewing machine.
  18. Does anyone know of a good source for the woven strapping used on Delco-Remy Lovejoy shocks of the early '30's? The strapping is heavy duty 1 1/4' wide. Also I am in need of 3 of the metal wedges that the straps wrap around. Thanks.
  19. Thanks Jon. I'll have to look into the repro bowls more. Am I correct that they are Australian made? I will also need to find a rebuilding kit.
  20. I have a Stromberg UX-2 carburetor on my 1930 Studebaker Dictator 6. The upper half of the carb is cast iron. The bottom half (float chamber, air horn, etc.) is pot metal. I thought that UX-2's were either cast iron or pot metal, but this one is a combination of the two. Is this carb original or could someone in the past have mixed parts from two carbs? Because of the pot metal issues and potential for breakage, I would like to swap the UX-2 for another carb, but it appears there are few, if any options. Is that still the case? The reproduction UX-2's are too expensive for my budget. Thanks.
  21. You probably have already solved your issue. Sorry for this late reply but have not been on the AACA site for quite a while. Earlier this year I sent my 1930 Dictator clutch disk to Fort Wayne Clutch and Driveline in Indiana. They did a great job. Fast turnaround. They specialize in antique auto clutches. If they don't have your clutch facings they will make them. You can call them and arrange to mail your disk. (260)484-8505.
