The main Part I need is a 29 Packard standard 8 cylinder block. I got some pictures of engines that have been outside for 50 years and those are probably cracked. the other problems are that its a large item people don't want to ship or take pictures so I need to find 1 in about a 500 mile radius so I can pick it up. I live in south eastern Pa

all sound like good advice thank you I had a wanted add for the parts I needed on another site not ebay. A person responed saying he had those parts. They are very hard to find. He also wanted a moneytgram. I almost sent the money because with out those parts my project is stalled. Thanks again for all the replies

I have several dodge brothers engines all turn freely some may run and have been in my garage for at least 20 years they are from mid to late 20s they are 6volt 4 cylinders 400. each also have a good running 36 dodge engine and trans 600. for both they are located in south eastern PA Email amadura@windstream.net

I have located parts that I need on the internet, we talked about the price and shipping that seemed fair to me . we exchanged several emails . I was going to send the money but I asked the guy for a picture of the parts and now there is no response. Did I do something wrong ? is it a scam ?. or dose the guy not want to take the picture ? this is the second time this happened.

Is there any way to clean stains and possibly old water stains and other types from interior that's 60 years old

I was told 29 and 30 had different cylinder blocks. I am still looking for a 29 cylinder block after getting shipping prices to go 1400 miles the cost is to much to ship some thing that large and heavy

I have a 29 buick and I need the starter pedal return spring. also need other parts like a rebuildable carb and the exhaust parts that hook to the manifold are cracked. I was wondering who might have these parts

the 170 is in a pickup

1949 Studebaker 6 cyl pickup engine is locked up. I wanted to know what other years and engines would interchange with that. thanks for any help

I don't think my truck has the correct engine if you know what year let me know .I have numbers stamped on the block next to distributer on the block 024bobot56z the forth and sixth letter could be B or 6 also casting number near starter D 13 56 also casting number near distributor 383700 under that GM 2 T Thanks for any help

the gasket was made by olsons gaskets in ca they have been making gaskets for years. for every kind of car. the car is a 29 Packard I have been told that the copper gasket is the only 1 avalible that's what it originaly came with.Proper torque sequence was followed. p acka

new copper head gasket leaks over time ..before I replaced it I had the same problem. The head was surfaced pressure checked and magnafluxed a new gasket was used new head bolts installed and sealed. threads in block where taped and cleaned. block was cleaned to look like new although there are slight imperfections in block. the head, block and gasket where sprayed with copper coat. head was torqued three times. and again after running the car . after sitting in the garage for a week or so slight drips will appear at gasket. other than tareing the engine down and getting the block decked. or using bars leak is there any thing else I can do? the engine runs great.

do you feel the 57 or 58 carb is best or are they both the about the same they look a little different

The carb that's on the car is a holley 1850 the car dose not get driven much and every year or 2 there is some sort of carb problem. I heard or read that the 58 autolite 4100 edc-d was a better carb. while looking for that carb I found that there was an autolite 4100 ecz-u offered in 57 for 312 engines with automatic trans. I want to be able to drive the car with less carb problems if any one knows witch 1 is best please let me know I have 10 other cars that get driven about the same amount and very few carb problems on those.
