Certainly an honest description of what the car needs! So refreshing…

What is the dark green car in the first photo?

Any chance of any being sold before the scrappers move in? I’m in the Middle Peninsula…

I’m about an hour away if anyone needs eyes in the Merc…

You can’t ask $10k and be firm! It’s one or the other…

Price reduced, now only $42K.
I believe the seller meant to subtract $42k from the original $55k equaling $13k, only then will they be in the remote parking lot of the ballpark of a sale…

If I had a nice driving REO as a reference and wanted a project, I would consider it. This one deserves better fate…. $4,000 in cash would probably pry it loose pretty quickly.

Looking forward to it, Terry! Thank you for presenting some of the seminars…

Hi, Duigoose! With all due respect to you and our fellow posters, but does your boss/friend know that you are asking for guidance on a public forum? I don't think I would be too keen on the idea if I were him... A private consultation with a financial planner who specializes in small businesses may be a better idea. All the best! Greg

I would have power washed the tires BEFORE taking the photos…

I like it! Are the bumpers correct?

A friend and I spent an entire day driving down to an adjoining state to look at and possibly buy a fairly desirable collector car. Burned a few tanks of diesel hauling around an empty enclosed trailer. The seller had sent great strategic photos of the best areas of the car, but neglected to show the gaping rust holes big enough to fit your fist through! No sale! Glad I spent the time and money to look at the car in person…

The four new tires may be in great condition, but if they were installed around the time of the engine rebuild they are 45 years old or so…

I don't think anybody does. If you have a gain you'll need to report it when you do your taxes.
If one buys a vehicle for $1k, invests $2k in parts, and another $2k in labor, and sells it for $5k, do they need to report anything? What if they sell it for $4k, can they report a $1k loss? Overly simplistic, but do you get the idea? If one stays below whatever the current (cash?) threshold is, there shouldn’t be an issue, correct?

It would be much more “Elite” if it was a two door hardtop!

Are those “peep” outside rear view mirrors correct/stock?

I was just in TS the other day looking at the gallons of farm implement paints! I was amazed how many different colors of RED they had! Maybe 4-6? Massey Ferguson, International Harvester, etc…. Prices seemed reasonable too.

Hi, Jake! Have you seen the car in person? If not, I would not make any offers until you do. Why was it parked? The bottom of the back seat looks rough, but the rest may just need a good cleaning/polish/wax. It may be cheaper and more beneficial historically to preserve what is there. Please keep us all posted as you move forward on this potential acquisition. Greg

I have a Coats 40-40(a)? I am thinking about selling.
Works great - just taking up space now.
Great, Joe! Where do you live? I may be interested!

Hi! Just retired and in the market! Between my own fleet and helping out family and club members, I think it would be a good investment, especially since my son is into the hobby too. Any recommendations of brand or dealer? Are any still made in the US? Northern Tool? Greg Smith? Thanks! Greg

Unfortunately a lot of that stuff gets thrown into a dumpster. I recently bought a car that I do not need only because the car and a ton of extra parts did not get thrown in the dumpster and to the crusher. (1928 Dodge) Unfortunately this is what happens when there are no "car people" around after the collector passes.
PS: If anyone knows of someone wants to buy a project Dodge touring with literally a ton of parts, please send them my way. I can send pictures.
Hi, Larry! Where is the Dodge located? Greg
