The incorrect use of American English is a dead giveaway.

Another note - Not all 30's Buicks are considered classics by CCCA. Only the large series 80 and 90 models are.

32 had wood spokes available also. Ed is right about the Wizard Control. Not in 31 but started in 32. The carb is a single updraft 2 barrel carb. The dual carbs came out in 40 or 41.

I always wondered why nobody ever developed a phone app that would allow users to "throw out" a request like - Looking for that rumble lid handle. That would show up on the app that vendors could look at and respond to saying - I have one in spot xxx.
I know it takes all the fun out of the search but it would connect a lot more buyers and sellers looking for specific parts.

Here's a pic I pulled from the internet for a 35 46c. Not even close to the downdraft air cleaner.

I’m interested in the crank hole cover for my 96 coupe. Can you message me ? Thanks. Jay

I agree with the clean clean clean. I meant to mention that. It's extremely important. Bare metal cleaned with wax/grease remover.

I'm not a welder so I'm not the right person to tell you what you're doing wrong. I have had good luck with my MIG using these settings. And my gas is regulated to 30 CFH. It works for me. Good luck Jay

.40" sounds pretty wide. I basically had the width of a thin Dremel cutoff wheel which is probably 1/16". The voltage and feed need to be set properly. I practiced with some sheet metal strips until I was happy with the welds.
Looking at your clamps did you mean .04" they look pretty thin.

I used 20 gauge to repair my 25 roadster and it was much easier to work with than the 18 gauge. It butt welded to the existing nicely using a gas MIG setup.
