Say O Toole, just where does one 'pick up' a copy of this UK subscription magazine. would like very much to read this story of the fabric machine. Thank you.........

I thank you for that !

There is one on ebay now. 949M Remy . In Canada.
-
I read all the forum posts about the Remy 917 when I found one on my 1926 Paige. It looked like the only answer was me. I bought a plug of aluminum and started machining on my six inch Atlas lathe. I am not a machinist and have no training, but IT WORKED ! I had no reason to expect that. The hard part was the swollen original was by only reference for dimensions. With a lathe and basic measuring tools anyone can do it...........if I can. Good luck.............

That is impossible, even with a Studebaker !

This car used a six cylinder Knight engine. The French didn't copy anyone.

French made Panhard Dynamic 1936 to 1940.

This car is in a spooky place. Looks as if he took it apart in a dump. Perhaps the doors are there.............somewhere. How would one EVER find all the parts in that place ? Another crying shame.

Spark arrestor in the Stihl leaf blower muffler. Size looks very close and they are made of stainless. Hard to compare the mesh size from pictures.

I would suggest fabrication from a block of phenolic. Source from ebay. It would take an hours time to make. Binding two terminals together with a horseshoe shaped brass sheet. Hiding the binding inside doesn't seem worth the trouble. Hope it helps you.

I would say you have done everything you could do right. Stop worrying and go back to bed .

Ah.....first of April ! Thanks for that.

Would someone have a pic of the original axle jack for a mid 20s Paige ? I do not know what to look for. Thanks.........

Perhaps this car is in eastern Crimea and salt spray isn't the issue for four or five miles.
-
It would be best to include some good photos of the unit. This might be a potmetal issue.
-
GOOD FOR YOU ! Just where is this ? Not much chance to hitch a ride if you break down . Happy motoring...........
-
They have been making V 4 engines since the '20s. The angle is 17 degrees. Yes, I'm a fan .
-
Just...............STUNNING ! You don't have time for my dumb questions because I have thousands of questions. Thanks for the tour and Happy Motoring.

To Spruce, Most vacuum tanks came with a sediment bowl on the outlet from the factory. It is the easiest and most effective filter to put into the system. Anything else looks bad and makes the owner look bad too.

And don't forget......"one half of one GREEN M&M." per tank full.

I believe it is a German generator. Perhaps not originally chain driven. Terminal 51 is DC Voltage and terminal 59 is charging- armature output.

That is the "metal conduit" sold by Rhode Island Wiring. And most likely others. It's not a coil spring at all. Good luck.......

I notice no one is suggesting polyester. Is there a specific reason not to use it ? If todays cotton is problematic.............

I checked the garage. No 1931 Buick Phaeton there. That's a relief !
