$126,500 for this gem! Beautiful car, I actually like the one posted above better! https://www.mecum.com/lots/CA0817-300013/1963-studebaker-avanti-r2/ -

Good motor, probably would burn the rear tires when it was new. Thankfully it's not a 305 -

Eric, regarding the windshield, you say the mechanic replaced the windshield with 2 pieces of flat glass instead of the one piece windshield. Are you saying he rigged up a center strip to hold the pieces of glass? Are the two flat pieces of glass laminated? I looked back in your pictures and it appears that your parts car has a one piece windshield - would that be something you would switch out for the two piece windshield? -

I just noticed - this thread is 8 years old today. Happy Birthday thread! -
And a split window coupe. Same year as my Avanti - I bet I can take him, not in the 1/4 mile but would dust his doors after that

Bill, I wish I had a garage big enough for most of these cars! A few more pics, always love a nice HD, the low long Jag, and the Corvette coupe: and a Mustang in Playboy pink

John, I was just wondering today what Greg was busy with. Did he mention the black Avanti? -

Richmond is a great track John. I used to go there in my younger days when Dale Earnhardt was still with us. If you ever decide to go to another race try Charlotte Motor Speedway - wow! -

John, was that paddy wagon shown earlier in your thread? I think it might have been but not sure. Does it belong to Camaro Steve? -
Bill, yes, it has that bird wings look to it. Cool car for sure.

I really loved this '60(?) Ford Custom Cab with the lowering setup. Had lots of patina and scuff. Way cool I thought. Still have a few pics left of other cars - will post more later in case anyone wants to see 'em!

1959 Impala right next to the Electra. Hats off to the designers and builders of all these American icons. What an era!

Classic Ford in a classic color. I told a man standing nearby that I believe I saw this car in a movie. Or it was an exact copy of the car in the movie. The movie is 11.22.63, written by Stephen King, about a man who travels back in time. The twin of this car (or this car) is driving down the street every time he goes back in time and arrives in the early 60's.

Thanks John, glad you're enjoying the show - I did! Here is a Corvair, very good condition, excellent really. And for sale - $14,500 OBO. Can't beat that in my opinion!
