Thanks John, I've wondered about it for some time now, since I read that it's a very difficult fluid to use. If you accidentally knock the can or a small earth tremor happens you have to wait three days for the bubbles to dissipate in the fluid. That sort of thing. I'll stick with synthetic thanks.

Not meaning to be a smarty pants, but I have a serious question. Why do people use silicone brake fluid? I heard bad stuff about it.

John, my boss has a Chevy pickup extended cab. Probably on the same chassis as your Suburban, or close to it, and a local shop replaced all the brake lines last year due to the Abominable Rust Monster. Cost: $1400.00 Yikes! Now, seeing all the fun you're having, I'm understanding the cost a little better.

That's a great price for all those gaskets John. Just curious, why don't you use the pistons out of the current engine that has all the cracks in the block?
