I know the right one wont fit in my bell housing as it is out of car now it is a couple inches longer if you can measure the hole to make sure it is not going any where jefff

Hello, I dont know if bell housings are the same but my 41 is 1 3/4 long and 21/2 wide. the left is my old one the middle is the new one for my car and the right is ? it is a bit bigger than mine. If yours is same as my old one and you dont have the spring clip I would sell it and I dont think it would be hard to have a leather place sew a boot on to it or do it your self. But if the right one will work or modifi it I will sell it also Jeff

Hello, I found a new cover it is the one that goes into the bell housing on the arm that goes to the release bearing, has spring clip to hold it in about 2 1/2 to 3 inch long and 2 inch wide I can put a pic up if needed to see it . leather I think most GM were the same jeff

Thank you for the reply, The ones I need are wire about 1 1/2 " tall with a 1/4 leg out on the bottom with the wire pointed out so it goes into the hole on the body. I will take a pic and put it on here thanks again Jeff

Ok I understand all about the Gran sport In my family there is a 65 skylark gs convt w/4speed, the riv 4 1970 gs stage 1 cars, 1 gsx w/4speed, 2 1974 gs 455 ,a 68 calif gs, 68 gs400, 69 gs400, 72 gs stage1, 70 gs350, and about 50 other vintage buicks. These are all origanal cars and all are matching #s . So just the pic shows that it has a single 4 carb does not mean I dont have the 2x4 set up that goes on the power plant and it has the turbo 400 switch pitch tranny and the correct posi rear. It is missing a few interior parts yes but is a real riv gs not a clone or wanna be. I'm the 3rd owner of this machine but in all one has to have a starting price and I really dont want to get rid of it but some times you cant keep all you have . Well if the engine was missing that might be true but it looks like an engine in the photo to me that matches the number to the car

Hello, yes it does it is a complete running driver. not the best looking but still solid for the age. has a 57 six with powerglide and olds rear end all steel.

I heard about the noise problem on these grills years ago that was one reason for the change

I had my 41 buick special coupe my first car and the oldest at school so everyone had to ride with me of course, It was older than the teachers I still have car in the garage has not seen the road in 12 years but engine is at machine shop soon back on the road.
