  1. This is the arm which holds the trunk lid open. Thanks in advance.j
  2. I have a lead on artillary wheels that have the 5 x 4.5 bolt patter but measure 17 inches from bead to bead. I thought 1936 Dodge wheels were 16 inch? Can anyone confirm this and possible tell me what these would be for? Ford? Would 17s look odd on a 36 Coupe? Thanks in advance
  3. My Coupe only has a door lock installed on the passenger door. Is this normal? Everything looks stock. Thanks in advance
  4. PM sent on wheels and hood ornament.
  5. Has anyone heard back from the original poster?
  6. I can't find an email showing a post with an apology and I have yet to recieve a personal email with one. With that said, it's not necessary. We all have differing opinions. For The Record. my plans for my 1936 5 window Coupe are as follows; Find as many period correct replacement parts as possible. I do have money restrictions and time restrictions for travel. It is missing so many parts that I have decided to NOT restore it. I will however be using a flathead six and would love to have a correct rear end. The engine will have a dual carb Offy intake and home made dual exhaust manifold. I will be mating a T5 transmission to it and will upgrade the front brakes to Discs. That's MY plan. I offer this up to those who would potentially sell me parts so they can not do that if that is their desire. I would love the car to look stock and be as if someone had "hopped" it up in the 50s. I would think the Youth of America would love to see a car like this and it is definately part of the history of cars seeing ways people used to hop up cars. (T5 and Discs excluded)
  7. Country, you're parting the 38 out? Can you PM the cost of wiper motors and arms if you have them? Thanks
  8. Does anyone know if 1936 Dodge truck front suspension parts can be used on a car? I know the axle and springs are different but it looks like other parts may be the same Thank you
  9. I'm in Tucson AZ. The screen name is a holdover for me. When I first began using the internet about 10 years ago I registered on a Sports forum and I couldn't for the life of me think of a name so I entered this name. Now being registered on tons of sites it's great to only have to remember iderations of this.
  10. 36, you nailed it and thank you. You too Ian.
  11. Thanks guys 1930 thanks a lot. I want to go stock 95% but when I saw that one post I thought jeepers, my way is better than some guy hacking the car to bits and making it a Boyd Cottington style Rod. Thanks again guys
  12. I've been parusing the forum for a while, often while doing a google search for a part of some info and aaca comes up as result. I have to say, I've noticed a decidely harsh view on folks who do anything but a full restoration of their car. Heck, one guy used a grill one year later and was politely called to task. ???????? Here's my deal. My car was once hopped up. It's missing some rather expensive parts and quite a few. I also don't excreate cash and my car hobby is one of DIY and the Yankee way. Also, my intentions are stock for quite a bit but not 100%. If I hadn't bought it it probably would have a Mustang II front end by now and a small block Chevy Have I stumbled onto the wrong forum here? Thanks in advance
  13. Yeah, I'll be trying to undo some Hot Rodding. By centerlink I mean the rod between the tir rod ends that connect the drivers side steering to the passenger side. Thanks for the pics and the link to the other thread.
  14. I still have not gotten the 36 to my house yet but went and visited it yesterday. I have a few questions about things I saw on it. The rear end has tabs on the top of it for diagnal braces to the frame. From the pictures I've seen (hard to tell for sure) it looks like a stock hypoid rear. Any chance someone has a good clear picture so I can ID? Any thoughts on what this could be? Someone welded them on in a amatuerish attempt at hot rodding in the 60s? Also if anyone knows of someone who is converting a 36 or similar to a modern drivetrain, I need the centerlink and motor mounts and the frame motor mount brackets. I think 36-37 Dodge and Plymouth work. Also is there a picture available of the window crank mech? Thanks in advance
  15. rear tailights? motor mounts and frame motor brackets?
  16. This is a very straight and complete car. I may part if the prices are right. Grill great, bumpers great, but all probably need rechrome for restore. Powersteering, pushbutton powerflight. I want $500 for the car but would like to keep the flattie. (we can talk). Also have a 55 dash with one year shifter and radio. NOS never installed 6 cylinder front coils -$100 + shipping Kingpin kit from Bernbaums never installed - $40 + shipping One side front end kit NOS - $50 + shipping 55 shifter - $35 + shipping 55 radio - $35 + shipping If I would part the 56 I'd be looking for reasonable prices + shipping. I am not a gouger but I want a fair price. Many 4 door parts work on all body styles Car located in Tucson, AZ mooretucs@aol.com
  17. I still have yet to get my 36 Dodge coupe to the house to do a full inventory of parts needed but it will be happening soon. Anyone have a lead on a parts interchange book or online reference? Thanks
