I agree, it blows me away how they don't care. It's not like I am asking for free stuff, I am happy to pay, even pay more because it's individual stuff. He acted like it was sacrilege to open a complete kit and send pieces. Wow

Thanks guys, but in the end it's sad. I really prefer to help promote parts suppliers, but it really was a nasty one sided conversation. Seriously, I have 4 cars under construction right now w/ one probably going to SEMA 2020 and all were going to get Inline products. No more. All it takes is one bad experience to ruin years of relationship.

Don't buy from Inline tube. I just had it out with their sales manager Dan, 2 days ago and here is why. I have bought 15+ sets of tube from InlineTube in the last few years for various builds including 8 Riviera's. They used to supply individual pieces, no prob, and sometimes I would need some for big brake conversions or repairs or whatever. They now no long do that. Therefore, if you need to ever buy an individual piece, you are screwed and will have to buy the whole kit, again. I was so pissed off about this, I did a search and found Classic Tube. Spoke to their rep and they do supply individual repair pieces, no prob. The lack of customer service by Inline tube was amazing. They even said they supply Yearone and OPGI w/ kits and offer them no support, lol. Amazing. Support those who support you. My 2 vents.

Check out Addco suspension. They have a lot of universal brackets that can be made to work in a lot of cases. I have used them several times when I was in a pinch. Also try ebay. Contact me if you hit a deadend.

Posting for a customer. Selling a complete carb to pan 1956 322 4brl rebuilt w/ Dynaflow trans. Motor was rebuilt 10-12 years ago and never started. Stored indoors, no issues. Block #1169334, w/ 1166349/1168930 heads. Has a rebuilt ID tag on it. Has rare factory 322 dual exhaust manifolds and factory powersteering pump w/ the impossible to find double groove pulleys. For those who may care, this from the late Joe Amato's (NHRA Top Fuel Dragster, multiple time champion) 55 Buick 2dr. $5800obo complete. Email w/ questions. Thanks and have a great one!

Do not use anything thinner than a 10w-30 in a stock motor and 15w-40 is probably best. Unless you have a fresh blueprinted motor w/ specific clearances set on the bearings, 5w is really too thin. Any of the readily available 15w-40 diesel oils are perfect overall weight. Synthetic is better, and it's BS that it causes leaks.

I have installed one Wilwood kit on a Riv and will never use them again. I have installed Wilwood on a bunch of other cars, Vette's, Mustang's, etc. Hate them. Lots of bling and not much performance. Their tech support is highly lacking also. If you want killer brakes that work, go with the Scarebird kit w/ rebuilt stock GM Caddy calipers. Best kit going, by far.

Eastwood Chassis Black is very nice or for local stuff, there is Epoxy Chassis paint by VHT that is awesome. Comes in semi and gloss.

I doubt it would work in practical application, just because of having to pull the water through the thermostat crossover and back through the heads. The timing cover gives the coolant the directional ability to "flow" the proper direction, that is the reason for the shape. I do like the idea of reverse cooling, but it's not that simple. In regards to doing it on a dyno, usually the coolant flowing through is temp controlled, so they just ran a belt on the pump just to make sure the coolant was flowing. I think that's still a lazy arrangement, but not all shops do it right exactly, to say the least.

You can ship it FedEx. Just get a couple large pieces of cardboard and wrap it a couple times. Make sure you insure it for crazy $$$. Just in case.

I have a few spares, if you need one. A good ac shop can sometimes make a new one and reuse your ends.

You can do it without removing the bracket, but the hard part is putting the bolts back in and lining the pump when reinstalling with bracket in place. I have done it many times, just take your time with it.

Is that Bob's in CA? I think I spoke to him a few years back. He had 2-3 GS's at that time and had sold a black one. The red one is stunning, very well done. Tell him I said good luck in selling! If he wants action on the car, I would put it in Hemming's and probably consider placing it with a high-end European classic dealer(someone who specializes in Jag, Bentley, etc.), that's your buyer. Also, let him know I would recommend removing the aftermarket gouges. They are functional, but cheapen the overall look of the interior. Take care and have a great one!

35-42psi front, about 2-4lbs less in the rear. Experiment and see what works best. If you have really good shocks(Viking or QA1) you can run a lot of pressure and the car will still ride great.
The "misfire" sounds like detonation. Does it sound like marbles in the motor? Verify timing, put a pertronix in distributor(I like the 3 version) and put a new fuel pump and soft lines in the car if more than 3 years old.

I think you will be ok, I am super picky. Mine were from OPGI, but you can bet only one company is actually making them for both. Yeah, I agree, with today's tech, there is no reason to make a part that doesn't not fit correctly. I think the acrylic they used might have shrunk after processing.

They are decent for repro's, but they seem a little small vs the original ones. Originals fit perfect, even after 50yrs. These just seem off some when I put them in.

Call Clark's Corvair. They make the best Upholstery for Riv's, by far. Be prepared to replace the opgi covers in about a year or two, IF you get the length issue sorted. They come apart quick under use. I have installed a few sets and have seen it personally.

those should be standard size. Oversize will be marked .010 or similar. Mic the journals, regardless. 455's are clearance specific, get it right the first time. Good luck!
