  1. He (Tom Green, gtom2902@gmail.com) wrote to me as well:

    Hi George,
We're currently dismantling a complete abandoned 1974 Oldsmobile Cutlass Salon 4dr with an original rear bumper and
all four doors in excellent shape and condition, ready to mount on. I'm asking $1000 for the rear bumper and
all four doors and happy to arrange delivery via UPS or FedEx in 3 - 7 working days delivery and
would acknowledge payment via Money Gram or Bank wire.
What's your complete shipping address? Many thanks again and regards,
    Tom

He has sent me the picture of the car. I ask why it is on German plates and if really he will part out such a nice looking car:

We're parting it out and all of the required parts will be taken off it. Of course, it has a German plate and
it was among 6 abandoned projects we purchased in 4 months from Europe. I am in Davison, MI 48423 and
happy to deliver parts within the USA. Let me know if we have a deal. Many thanks again and regards,
    Tom

I am 99% sure it is a lie.

  2. Ed, sure I was considering that already, but these are rather pricey for 65 (due to "one year only" compatibility - I believe), plus shipping to Europe will make it somewhere double expensive .... What I was able to find was something like $280 each (also not perfect condition) + shipping.

For that money we will try to fix what we have (Riviera restoring fun :-) ).

    I will post the pictures.

  3. Thanks Guys,

yes, I know all that what you wrote - I took me few years before I start resto works, and I was reading a lot in the meantime (mostly here).

I will repair my tray and the fenders :-).

Here are my fenders just after sandblast:

  4. What a nice coincidence :-). I really like such situations !

I'm stuck at Greece from March 2013 till end of September 2014, at one project (it's about my profession), therefore I'm not able to do too much with T-bird...

Plus I decided to make some basic works and paint at my Buick Grand National, and somehow this turned out to be a kind of a full restoration :-).

I decided that due to relative young age of the Grand National (comparing to Tbird 65), the works can be performed by a local workshop at my home city, even without me being there (the owner is my friend). But for Tbird I want to be present at the process, so it must wait...

Greetings to you and Kurt, I will contact Kurt regarding Tbird when the time will come.
