Here's a link to an ebay listing offering a '49 Hudson for sale. I've only been able to read about ten percent of it, because to continue would just be too painful. Geez, some people think that they are brilliant!

I have a pair of skirts that I'm going to post on ebay soon.

I have one that I'm going to be offering for sale soon -- probably on ebay.

While in New London, visit Windy Hills mammoth junk yard.

I think that '36 internals are most likely the same. Likewise Dodge and others.

If I recall right, those are cloisonne hub caps. I certainly wouldn't leave them outside.

How poetic! What's the next line?

Probably Reefshell Pink, a very light shade. Does that say PONAIAC on the hood?
I'm sure that you're right. Pink and gray was a fashionable combination in the fifties. I think that maybe it's time that I check the color accuracy of my monitor...or maybe my 73 year old eyes!

It's a pretty sort of dark grey, but I can't quite get a handle on the other color. Is it a somewhat tanish off-white?

I hate to be seen as hypercritical, but I think that those are abundant sanding scratches on the top surface of the right, front fender. If that would bother a potential buyer, he could maybe request some pictures that are taken outside in natural light.

Those back-mount fog lights will bring a few dollars.

Their similarity is simply a matter of design trends, rather than coincidence. On the other hand, corporate espionage has long existed.

I worked in the lube bay of a Chevrolet dealership when this car was new. As I recall, this was a very popular color. I remember seeing Chev trucks with GMC horn buttons.

As nice as the car is, I have to say that I'm not too impressed with all of the fuel filters, nor the tin can repair on the exhaust pipe just beneath the joint with the manifold. The coil and it's wiring are none too discreet either. Maybe it's next owner will be a little more detail oriented.

This beautiful '27 Studebaker only has 19K miles on it. The interior, and everything else, is in wonderful shape. I can't begin to guess what a good price would be for it. I just wanted to post it because it shows how gorgeous a vintage two-tone can be if a person just gets the colors right!

From the photos, that does not appear to be a Roadmaster. I think it is a Century but it might be a Special. It certainly has a later engine.
You know, I've run into that before. People must just love the word "Roadmaster". I've seen several "Roadmaster Specials" over the years. It was probably silly of me to assume that the seller knew what he was talking about.

I think white on a prewar car is the kiss of death.

It's a Roadmaster! Multiple carbs, suicide doors and floor shifts are just incidental to the fact that it's a Roadmaster -- a premium US vehicle made by Buick. Leave it as is and sell it to someone who will value it for what it is.

I don't know if I could ever get used to the taillights. They sure are goofy looking.

I second Terry's thoughts.

The serial number should start "47______ " if this is a 125" wheelbase Model 47.
As with other makes of cars, sellers tend to advertise by the "most desirable" model nomenclature.
Many Super Sixes and Pacemakers get advertised as Commodores and Hornets. And today's hobbyists often won't know the difference anyhow nor do their due dilligence.
So very true! It makes me a little crazy every time I see a "Buick Roadmaster Special". It seems that every Buick every made is some type of Roadmaster.

I think that these are great looking cars. Such nice lines. Even to the end, Hupps had great style. I've seen worse dash plastics -- the tenite is always bad in these, but it would always be in my line of view. It's a shame about the interior. It looks like it didn't have to be ruined if someone had dealt with the roof earlier. Tenite, by the way, was the name for the celluslose-based plastics.

Jeff, I got as far as "draped in two-toned blue paint" and began to get sick to my stomach.
