Can anyone help? I lost the part off the rear view mirror. the little plate that holds the mirror to the post.

Received it back from Clean Sweep in record time and works beautifully. Very reasonable price

Thank's Colin and Shortop I believe I will leave it be and install it. Many thanks

Yes, I purchased them from Boos and it required seaming the gasket, Made a jig to keep the ends together and glued them in place. Worked well. The hole in question is closed at the top and I am concern about it because once the upholstery is in it would be difficult to work with. The old gasket did have it opened all the way through. If it was a drain then where would the water go I never saw a drain hole. Yes I was intimidated with the installation , but once I got into it and with the help of liquid soap it slipped into the frame.

Finally sent it to Kent at Clean Sweep Windshield Wiper Repair, he has been doing repairs for 40 years. Pleasant man, likes Fords and Lincoln

Thank's guys, will do both. Called Wiperman this am and he still still concerned, but I will send him photos of it.

Thank's Tom, I called them and they have nothing but did refer me to Ficken . Unfortunately 1937 to 1939 wipers where oddballs and cannot be rebuilt with any certainty of success. They had a funky speed regulator installed in them which produced a constant vacuum leak. i was told to look for maybe a Cadillac motor or some other large car with similar parts. After 35 years in the business he could not help unfortunately.

Thanks Ray, I may have to get someone to rebuild it if I cannot get a kit. Would prefer a kit.

Is there a place where I can get a rebuild kit for the TRICO wiper motor? I searched all the sites and can only find Mac's for a model A type all the rest are rebuilt for $200.00 +/-. i tried oiling it but it's frozen. i cannot find a model number on it

Thanks, they have the window weatherstrip and hopefully I have source for the gas pedal dust cover

Looking for the rear flipper window gasket and also the gas pedal dust cover which goes under the floor board. Thanks to all. Tried everyone

Can someone suggest a source for the rear flipper window weatherstrip, this i for the one that opens out. Mine is somewhat ok but if the price is right I would buy one. Also what kind of seals go on the floorboards, eg; gas, brake, clutch and dimmer switch. I have a metal cover and am not sure if it goes under the floor or on top for the clutch and brake. Cannot find pictures . I have tried all the vendors for the window seal and nothing
Thanks

Thanks everyone, I ordered them and they arrived in five day's. They match my broken glass perfectly, could not be happier. Used Auto City Classic 800-828-2212 Dave

Thanks everyone,I decided to order them as my research though not as involved came to the same conclusion. I will post the results when they arrive, usually in a week.

Does anyone know for sure if the glass on a 4 door sedan door is the same as a 1939 LZ limo? Found a highly recommended glass site from my local glass dealer and they have the cutouts for the limo. Auto City Classic is the name.

OK, Removed it from the main housing, that enabled me to shoot some contact cleaner then WD40 inside the lower drum . This loosen the old dried grease and I was able to clean it up . It spins like a dream. I will not lubricate it because I am not sure what is required.
-
Thank's Ken, your idea did loosen the magnet however there is still significant resistance . I will keep heating it with the wife's hair dryer over the next couple of day's. If that does not work I will remove the housing and try to squirt some contact cleaner down inside the magnet. I know the short cable just needs the nut removed to enable the cable to slide right on through with the unit. hopefully I won't drop it.

Excellent, I will try it, thanks to all.

Thanks Tom, This is an old spare that I used to experiment with. When you add the mystery oil do you totally remove it like the photo, or can I just add some oil through the input shaft.

Used Quiet Ride Solution. Ordered online for the specific year Zephyr- 241.00 plus shipping. The keyway is right on top of the shaft, holds the steering wheel in position, I missed this step. Once removed I loosened the clamp at the steering box and with a slight turning motion as I pulled up it released and slide all the way out. I do not know where to get the firewall grommet, looked but they all look different.

I have gotten good luck with PB Blaster. Used over a couple of day's things loosen up. Then flush it out with WD then a very light oiling.
