My 65 does not have that option so I'm not a lot of help. But......I do have the service manual and could copy some pages for you as needed. It probably has a good trouble shooting section.
Good luck

This was wrapped up and boxed with other parts I obtained when I bought my car this weekend. Is it just an old bulb or does it have any automotive significance?
The car I bought was a 1928 Willys Whippet Cabriolet.
The bulb is about 6" long and has a large mounting base. The background of the photos is a letter size paper to give you an idea of it's size.
Thanks for any info.

If you post this request on the WOKR site (wokr.org) you may get a faster response.

I had fiber added to one of my shop floors years ago. A few weeks after the pour I took my torch and burned all the little hairs sticking up through the slab. Only took a few minutes and had peace of mind that the slab was a bit stronger.

Wish it was closer to NE Ohio

Here's a photo of a book that helped me. My Buick is nothing like your top though.
And of a photo of my finished top (2012) The local shop gave me an estimate of 1500 $. The materials cost me 1/3 that, so I figured I could put on 3 tops and break even. Is your top vinyl or canvas? There was a lot of info about installing a top on the threads here. I took photos of my install to write an article for the Bugle, but I haven't completed the article yet. One of the many things on my to do list.
Good Luck

Not sure if this will help you or not.
Photos show the book you might need and it's table of contents that list adjustments etc. I have an upholstery book that covers convertible tops as well as the service manual for 1965 Buicks that show the installation for mine. I'll look through it at see how far back it goes (after the thunderstorm passes through).
For sale on ebay now for $19.00 (not mine)

I had a problem similar to this on a different car. Turned out it was the cruise control unit had a short and was signaling the lock up torque converter. Happened very random and created a shudder and at other times would shut the engine down in less than a second.
Maybe pull the fuse or turn off cruise control and see if the situation changes.
Good luck

My '65 Buick did not have a butyl strip; My tack strip consists of 3 pieces that are bolted to the body.
Don't see any mention of it in my manual or in my upholstery book either.
Hope that helps.

The man that taught me most of what I know, told me to always do the job right the first time and never try and save money on two things.....Brakes and Exhaust. Those two can kill you.
Flat tire - pull off the side of the road.
Won't start - get it towed. No big deal.
But your brakes and exhaust can kill you when you least expect it.

After getting the base of my AFB filled and filed flat, I was told by many wise people on this site to sandwich the steel plate between 2 gaskets.
Haven't had any trouble the past 4 years. I've had the carb off twice to inspect, and all looks good.

Looking forward to seeing your photos.
Thanks for keeping us up to date.
I'm still looking for my Willys Knight retirement project car.

Seek out and join the WOKR (Willy Overland Knight Registry). There are over 50 people who belong and own a 1916 Overland.
They are a great group of people always willing to help others.

Have you tried www.autoacsolutions.com 1-877-542-8192
I've purchased a few AC parts from him and was treated well.
He is out of Denton Texas. (I have no connection with his business.)

Can you post a few photos of the machine?
Need to see if it is similar to the one I used. I don't have any written info but might be able to help in its adjustments.
THANK YOU
