I'm using hydraulic jack oil in my OEM Monroes on my '34 Terraplane and so far not leaking.

Here are some representative pics which I hope tell the same tale as those James has posted. Each is "renamed" to support the dimension shown. These are known as 25" rims becasuse they take a 25" inside diameter tire thus the rim measures 24" ID and 26" OD so that the drop center where the tire mounts is 25".
I need two of these rims. Would consider picking up a third.

Thanks, yes, Universal Tire is the official distributor for new split rims made by a company in New Zealand. Coker also say they sell them but in fact Corky Coker's sister is the principle owner of Universal Tire and so that is the source. As far as I can tell anywhere in the world New Zealand is the ONLY source of new split rims. They do not make the exact profile of the original rims for my car. The DB club members have urged me to look for originals rather than try to use the Kiwi rims.
New Zealand: http://www.vintagerims.com/Split_Rims_Vintage_Rims.html via email sent me to Universal as their "US distributor"

My new tires/flaps/tubes/hardware have arrived and I can't mount two of them without replacement 25" rims due to rust. Leads appreciated.

I have a used but truly MINT pair of pot metal grilles that came out of S. Texas near me some 15 years ago. They were so nice I had to take them home, cleaned them and was in awe. If you are interested, PM me and I'll try to get representative pics of them.

Hudson only employed the "griffin" on its 1933 big Hudson cars and the '33 Essex-Terraplane. At no other year nor model did they use a griffin. That is not Hudson for sure.

One Overland MONOGRAM headlamp lens. Cast into the lens is "8 1/8 x 6 5/16" and "Pat. 7-3-23, 1-20-25" The edge of the lens has NO chips. There is one light 1/2" scratch and a couple of very minor road flaws. Glass is clear-colorless but could use a light polish. Overall I would rate this as excellent. Have one only.
This was in my '17 Dodge B. when I bought the car. Wrong for the car, Wrong diameter too.
$50 shipped w/ insurance to you in the USA. Respond here or PM me.
Thanks

I have two badly rusted split rims on the 25" wheels of my late '17 Dodge Bros. touring. Am seeking to purchase two excellent original replacements. According to the club resource "Wood Wheels" application photo and serial number charts these are Stanweld rims on Hayes wheels.
New tires /tubes /flaps are on their way to me already!
Thanks.

Generous help has been offered. Thanks all.

It is avail repro, I was giving away copies of it a few months ago, contact someone that I sent a copy to and I am sure they can forward a copy. I deleted the storage account that I had it saved in I think.
I have no way of knowing who any of those "someone" are. If you are one of them reading this and can PM me for an email addy, it would be most appreciated. I presume this is the $50 parts manual offered by one of the DB vendors?

I use Firefox and have no problems with the DB Club site.

Selling 1933 Dodge Brothers Six, (Code DP) Instruction Book. Second Edition, Dec. 1932, after serial number 3,579,001. Very nice, lightly soiled on cover and edges, not brittle, still staple bound, no writing inside, no greasy fingerprints. Had been in a drawer at original purchaser's home in Texas. Their sedan had an accident decades ago and is long gone. Includes two Stromberg BVOX-2 carb sheets loose tucked into the book.
Will include US postage at price of $75.
Photo shows original owner with the car when new.

Is that a US factory production body? or something coachbuilt?
-
Correct. Here is the diagram from the parts book. Hope it helps...
Outstanding help! Thanks. Is this parts book available in reproduction or on CD ?

Howdy, I'm also in Texas and have a '17 touring! Can anyone help us with correct assembly of these axle bearings and seals?
Thanks.

Payment was received today. Thanks to all.

Some years ago K-GAP Hudson parts had cast up brass arms from an original and found identical to orig. mirror heads and sold the assembly. With K-GAP gone I don't know what the situation is but someone may have one they did not use. Or??

A dozen years ago I saved these '59 Park Lane from a private ranch that had a bunch of old cars and all would be crushed.
They are in very nice shape overall, very minimal pitting on the tail light castings and some light pitting on the Park Lane spears. All the fasteners are there and reusable. The pictures represent them well I believe. I do not have the second white lens.
I'm primarily a Chrysler guy of the same era so don't exactly know the market but I'm confident they are worth $300 plus shipping.

The Plymouth skirt ornaments are SOLD

Great to know where that body number is and interesting differences for a car built that early. Thanks for posting.

My "First 50 Years" book arrived and an offer I had out for a '17 Dodge Touring was accepted. This is 5 years older than my previous earliest car which was a '22 Essex !

Terry, I'd like them. Will PM you for address for the payment. Thanks.
