Herbie comes to visit, March 10, 2007

Our friend Greg drove his 1964 VW Beetle "Herbie - The Love Bug" replica down to Stony Creek this past Saturday (3/10/2007) to help his buddy Stan evaluate an old Airstream trailer that Stan is considering purchasing from my wife Diane.

Greg's "Herbie" is a well-preserved original car, wearing its original L87 Pearl White--same color as the original 1963-model Herbies - ref. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Herbie - though in the interests of being able to fit the big "53" gumball onto the engine lid, Greg retrofitted his '64 with an earlier lid, with narrow license plate light.
